Luna watched her mother, Neptune, haul a huge log out of the swamp. "Mother, why can't we move out of this disgusting place!" She sighed. Her white scales were patched with mud. Her mother's crystal-looking eyes were an aqua-green as they caught the setting sun. Her own eyes were a deep violet. "Go play with Orion and Nebula." Neptune suggested. Her scales were covered in mud head-to-toe. "Nebula's off flirting with Comet, and Orion is exploring with his mother." Luna sighed. "Go do something, then, Luna!" Neptune said, exasperated. We should find the other dragon kingdom...maybe then we'll have a nice home! Luna flapped away. Her scales turned red. She sucked it down, and turned a pretty violet. She looked over the hidden village. This was where they belonged. Up in the sky, on mountains perhaps. Luna sighed as she spotted Astro flapping toward her. She paused and waited. "Yes?" She looked into his dark amber eyes. "Queen Orbit wants to see you." He dipped his head. "Kay." Luna twirled downwards. Astro flew away. She alighted on the treehouse Queen Orbit lived in. "Luna? Is that you?" A soft voice asked. "Yes." Luna whispered. "Enter." Luna padded in. "What is your opinion on living here as long as StarWings exist?" She asked. "No! We should tell the SeaWings and IceWings and...other dragons about us! We are StarWings!" Luna said. Orbit's sun-coloured eyes twinkled. Her tail tip turned pink. "How would you feel about taking a patrol, say five dragons, and telling the other kingdoms? I know you are only thirteen, but you are responsible." Orbit asked. "Yes!" Luna gasped. "I suppose you can pick the other four dragons, but you must take Comet." Orbit spoke of her daughter. "Yes, yes." Luna sighed. She didn't like Comet that much. She was always rainbow instead of white...or literally ANY other colour than rainbows. "I'll take Orion, Comet, Astro, Aquarius...and Moonbeam." Luna thought quickly about her choices. Orion wasn't the smartest, but he knew how to fight and camoflouge, she had to take Comet, Astro was careful and smart, Aquarius was small and could fit it places the others couldn't, Moonbeam was strong and huge. "Go find them. You leave at dawn, tomorrow." Orbit raised her wings in finalty. Luna turned and flew silently out, searching for the dragons.
"You mean to say we all are gonna find the other dragons!" Moonbeam's eyes shone. "Yes."Luna smiled. "I know all the names! SeaWing, RainWing, IceWing, NightWing, SkyWing, MudWing." Astro said matter-of-factly. "Uh, cool, but...all of us?" Comet said in her girly, whiny voice. "Yes, Comet!" Orion growled. "Uggggh. Fiiiiiiiiiine. How long of travel? An hour?" She asked. All of them burst out laughing. "No, like four days' travel." Luna snorted. Comet's eyes shadowed. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA." She shrieked. "Shut up." Orion said bitterly. "We leave at dawn. Get rest, everyone!" Luna told them.
"Farewell, Luna!"
"Bye, Moonbeam!"
"Goodbye, my sweet, Comet!"
"Orion, be safe!"
"Astro! Save the world!" The calls echoed around as Luna and the other dragons started to depart from the swamp. Queen Orbit had given Luna a map to Pyrrhia. She glanced down at it. "Bye, mum!" Comet called. "Bye, Neptune! Bye, Eclipse!" Luna called to her parents. Then the journey began...
