"you're gonna do great, don't worry." a lady said. this lady was morgan's step-mom. morgan is the main character in our story. they've lived with bad social anxiety their whole life and it's really hard to manage. "vanessa, i'm not going to. why do you try to comfort me," morgan began, "they all stare, laugh, point, and so much more at me. they all give me these.. looks.. like i'm a murderer or something.." "it's fine. you're gonna be amazing, everyone's gonna love you, look up to you!" vanessa explained, putting flowers in morgan's hair. "i want to cut it." they said. "cut what?" their step-mother asked. "my hair," morgan began, whispering, "i wanna cut it." "why? you know your father would be livid if he found out," she began, "anyways, you'd best be off to school. have a good first day." morgan grab their school bag and rushes out of the house to catch the school bus. they get on the bus and find a seat near the back. they thought that since everyone likes to be near nice, bright areas. they sit down on a seat and slowly try to move to a corner near the window without making noise to not draw attention. morgan sees everyone get on the bus and into the seats. after the bus starts moving, they see everyone staring at them with a disgusted look. morgan covers their ears and puts their head down on top of their knees, beginning to cry. everything turns dark for a brief moment. a random figure approaches morgan as they cry in the corner. "are you okay?" the person asked. they look up to see a person with pinkish reddish dyed medium hair, with beautiful hazel eyes, glasses with a beautiful silver rim, and a more of a sort of tall but sort of short, skinny body figure. "i apologize, i should have introduced myself! i'm ace, it/its genderfluid! you?" ace said. "i-it's nice to meet you. also, i'm morgan, they/them nonbinary." they said. "so uh.. we're friends now i guess, right?" it asked, tilting its head. "yeah, sure.. i don't have any friends, so it'll be nice to know i have a friend." morgan said. "oh.. well you're my second friend EVER. i just started during the middle of the school year just last year. no one really likes me because i'm autistic." ace explained. "oh well i have social anxiety.. so you're not alone. think of it this way, we're both special!" morgan said, looking happy on the outside. "true!! we're special! people are just missing out on us cause' we're cooler then em'!" it exclaimed. the bus stops at school. morgan and ace go into the school and find their classes.
