Freedom?

The wall

There it was big, strong and huge.
Nobody really had knowledge about what was behind the wall.
The wall it was another grey, boring thing.
The government said that behind the wall was nothing but the black and endless nothing.
Everyone trusted the government.

The wall was large.
The city was a little bit smaller than it.
The wall was all around the city.
So nobody could come ...

Or leave.

But why would anyone like to leave.
The city had everything you needed.
You could see your friends meet at a coffee shop or go to the next cinema.
You could work in a fabric or in a kindergarten and much more.
You had your apartment.
But the best thing was you had to pay for nothing,everything was free but you also didn't get payed.
You worked that the system worked.
But that was okay everyone with a child lived near a kindergarten and had a bigger apartment, when the children were grown up you had to live in a smaller one.
And that was life, you had to pay for nothing, you just needed to life in your apartment, have fun in your free time and go to work at time.

It was perfect this little city had everything.
Well it wasn't little you needed 8 hours to fly if you wanted to get from one end to the other.
But the people didn't know what a small city was.
What a village was.

In school you learned everything about math, english, physics and such stuff, but most important about the nothing behind the wall.
The nothing which would kill you if you ever go there.
But nobody ever even thought about leaving and the most people stayed as far away from the wall as they could.

They were scared.
Scared of the nothing.
Scared what would happen if they even touched the wall.

But then a baby was born a baby which was supposed to break free.
