City Escape

You walk along a path, looking down in sadness. Your job application was denied, you look down at the denied application. You look down at the ground and walk to your apartment, you look on your phone and see an advertisement for an island. Bygone Island. You widen your eye's seeing that this island was only for one human to enter, you tap on it and enter for the island. You just wanted to get away from this purgatory of a city, you wanted something more quiet and relaxing. Soon enough they gave you a secret address for you to follow to get to a boat, you have to board at 5:00 in the morning very early so you packed everything you needed and the application in case you could get a job there too. Then you went to bed...

[The next day]

It was 3:46 AM you got up and had (Y/F/B) [Your favorite breakfast]. You pick up your packed stuff and head out the door.

[Time skip]

You made it to the boat in time and met with a hooded figure, you look at the hooded figure feeling a bad vibe from them. "You are.. (Y/F/N) [Your full name] Yes..?" The hooded figure asks. "O-Oh! Y-Yes I am!" You smile awkwardly. They pat the seat across from them and you sit there stiffly. "I'll show my face when the other humans can't see us or they'll try to get information from me." You look at the figure curiously. "We'll talk later human." That confused you, why did they call you human. As the sun went up slowly the boat got further and further from the city. Half way the figure finally took the hood off, there in front of you was a lilac hedghog. "I'm a traveler and I wanted to help a human life out, I know their life is miserable because I once lived in your civilization, until a war broke out between the humans and the Mobians." The lilac hedghog explained. You smiled and looked at the lilac colored hedgehog. "My names Listic, I don't really have a name on Bygone island. They usually call me the traveler, they get secret supplying by a nice rich human. They also get some supply from a human that lives on an nearby island, well... I think so.." She has a sweat drop for a moment. "What will happen if that rich human dies?" You ask. "It's a family tradition so nothings gonna be outta stock soon." She reassured you.

[Time skip]

It was 4:05 in the afternoon when you arrived you waved bye to Listic before she left. You walk past a tree that had a blue hedgehog on it with a mysterious figure behind him, you read below. "Sidekick tryouts, all qualified candidates welcome. Best candidate gets the job, resume and references required." You read out. There was an address to follow, you took the flyer and thought you could give it a try.
