The snake dripped a small drop of venom in the shallow moment that Sigyn left to empty the bowl once more.
Loki silently writhed in agony, unable to scream out, as his voice had finally perished from all previous.
Sigyn rushed back to her beloved's side, raising the bowl to the serpent once more. Looking down, the other, milky-white gaze never met her own. Whether it was still functional or not didn't matter, as it would be too ashamed to lock with that of another ever again.
To have to rely on another was a show of weakness after all.

Loki was taken in shackles to the throne room where Odin sat.
Luckily, Sigyn had managed to escape the cave before the guards that were coming to retrieve him knew that she had been there. Though, that did result with more venom in the face than he originally hoped for.
The saddest thing to say was that it wasn't the worst form of torture that he has undergone.
"Look at me when I am speaking to you," Odin said calmly, yet full of aggression.
'What kind of mockery is this?'
Loki couldn't help thinking to himself.
He couldn't utter even a half-witted retort, though, due to the muzzle they had placed over his mouth to prevent his silvertounge from sweet talking himself out of anything.
He had also had his head held down through the entirety of this.
"Do as the king says when he speaks to you!" One of the guards muttered, jabbing his abdomen with the blunt end of their weapon.
"Do not fret," the Allfather said to the guardsman. "Loki, I hereby banish you to Midgard. You are not to return Asgard under any circumstance. The people of Midgard are to decide the rest of your punishment. What they do with you, I do not care." Odin finalised, before Loki felt some sort of cuff being placed around his wrists. But not the binding type, as they weren't made for that.
As soon as they were placed, he felt what little of his power that remained, drain away. All that remained was just barely enough to form an illusion to hide his facial scars. Other than that, he was useless. This power emitting from the cuffs was all too familiar to him.
It was that of the dwarves.
They could form the thinnest of ribbons, that could bind a beast that no chain could.

"It's nice to see you again, brother," Thor said through the awkward silence, after he had taken Loki from the guards, and had began heading towards the bridge, where Heimdall awaited to assist their departure.
Loki was currently focussed on making sure the illusion of hiding his scars stayed up, though he couldn't talk with the muzzle anyway. And Thor had the audacity to try and speak to him.
Loki would've rolled his eyes at his brother- no. This oaf. But that was a bit of a difficult task at the moment.
Thor gave up, with a sigh.
"Heimdall, to Avengers Tower on Midgard," Thor stated upon reaching the all-seeing God, who nodded his head in response, before sending them where they needed to be.

Say hello to the power of the Bifrost!
"Captain of the America's," Thor greeted the captain upon arrival.
"Right this way. The others don't know about this yet, so we'll have to explain when they arrive from their mission," the captain said, leading them to where Loki will be held.

"Here we are. Not quite as luxurious as Sweden in terms of things to do, but pretty good," he said, upon the arrival at Loki's new room.
"I looks glorious! What do you think, brother?" Thor asked Loki.
He couldn't even see it, so how would he know? Not only that, but he couldn't exactly respond. Even if he took the muzzle off, his vocal cords were still pretty shredded.
He decided to do the only thing logical, and scowled in the direction of Thor's voice, where the Thor-shaped shadow was standing.
He felt his brother remove the muzzle that had been restraining his speech.
Shit. Not the result he'd wished for.
He 'looked' towards his not-brother.
"Do you seriously not know what happens to one's voice, when they haven't had vocal contact with another for Norn's know how long? What did you expect?" He said very, very, hoarsely.
"Surely you would've had to commune with the guards, would you not? Telling them to buggar off?" Thor tried to half-assedly joke.
By the Norns, Thor had no clue about the punishment whatsoever.
Loki did consider telling him about at least being isolated, but decided against it.
"They didn't commune with me, so I didn't see the point. Of course, you wouldn't know what prison life is like," he scoffed at Thor.
"Well, I'm not the one who acted upon treason, and tried to take over an entire planet!" Thor said as if it were a normal thing, elbowing Loki's shoulder.
Why did that have to be brought up? He didn't even want to attack Midgard, and wouldn't you be mad if your 'parents' hadn't told you that you were adopted. That you were a child of the enemy. Child of the Giants who eat children in their sleep.
Due to the impact of Thor's elbow and his immense strength, Loki stumbled slightly, gladly catching himself before falling. It completely caught him off guard. However, Loki knew that it was only the start.
"Don't touch me. You oafish bas-"
"Language!" Loki was cut off by the captain.
He was standing there this whole time? And he caught an English swear from him, but not an English swear from his not-brother? The hypocrisy.
"Unjust censorship," Loki mumbled to himself.
He knew this stay was going to be Hel.
"Are we done here?" Steve asked, as he had ruined the reunion enough, and needed a way to explain to the others.
"Yes," Loki answered, before Thor could answer. A thing he'd do a lot during childhood, as he enjoyed seeing his brother gawk like a fish, before giving up on his speech. Ah, how he wished he could see that one last time.
"Very well, then," Steve said, before closing the door and locking it with an audible click. If Loki had to guess, it would probably only be lockable from the outside, though he had no way of being sure of that. Of course, he could ask Stark's AI, JARVIS was it? But he thought that it may raise suspicion if the Avengers were to hear of his request.
He turned around toward the rest of the room, luckily it was very bright due to the giant window making up one wall. But what will he do if he has to go through a glass door for whatever reason? Those would be lethal. And he'd be mocked. Referred to as a bird, no doubt.
Those were his problems for the future, though. For now, he will remain in his room for as much as possible. Only coming out if it's absolutely mandatory.
Loki shuffled warily to where some sort of cabinet or drawer was- he didn't know. He gently ran his hand along the seemingly wood surface, both for guidance and support, before reaching the end.
Upon doing so, he reached out his other arm to see if he could find some thing else to grasp onto. Thinking logically, and by what his ears were telling him, he reached to beside where the desk was, and just like expected, his hand met a wall.
He placed both his hands on the wall, one normal level, and one slightly lower, and further forwards as to not walk into anything.
He was so useless. How was he to get by without anyone finding out about him eventually?
He'd find a way. He was the god of tricks and deception, after all. Though, of modern circumstances, he wasn't sure of any of his titles anymore. How could he be the god of lies, if everything that comes out of his mouth is viewed as glass?
-----
Okay, thank you if you made it this far. I'll probably forget about this not even half way through, so if I don't update for a while, then know I have bad mental health.
Also, if anyone's confused about the hearing walls part, usually when you stand next to a wall, the ear closest can hear less.
Thanks for reading the first chapter.
Also, I didn't know how to write the start well, so please forgive me. I don't know enough about Sigyn to make her character convincing.
