Dr. Eakins earned his bachelor's degree at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and his medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, North Carolina. At Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon, he finished a six-year internship and residency program in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.
Darrin Eakins was an orthopedic surgeon for over ten years and was instrumental in establishing a successful clinical practice that has now grown to be one of the largest in the state of North Carolina.
Since his retirement, he has continued his studies in business and market analysis and is pursuing a new career as a consultant for medical device technology businesses and stock analyst.
