Lucy is a 15 year old foreign transfer student who came from Indonesia to Germany. Her mother was a nurse, and her father just stayed home. Lucy's father had to find a job somewhere to earn their living.
Every day, Lucy passed by a boy who was a year or two younger than her on her way to school. She went to talk to that boy. The boy instinctively shielded his face with his arms and prepared for whatever torment the girl was to give, but none came. Slowly, the boy moved his arms away from his face just enough to see that Lucy was smiling at him. The boy was a beggar. He didn't go to any school. Lucy became friends with the boy. She taught her how to read and write and play like any other ordinary child.
Jake lived with his father. His mother passed away because of a chronic disease, and well Jake had the same disease. BLOOD CANCER. Jake didn't know that his mother had passed away. He was told that his mother had gone somewhere very far to get gifts for him. Jake was very happy to have a friend like Lucy. Every day, when Lucy's father packed her lunch, he packed an extra bag for her little friend.
Lucy had already developed a brotherly love for Jake. Jake also loved Lucy very much.
