I sat in my cage wondering when my master was going to come back and take me out to catch more bad guys, is what they called them. I started drinking from my water bowl when my whole cage shook. I jumped up alerted looking around for a bad guy. I couldn't see anything but my cage kept shaking, then I realized the whole building was shaking. My ears went back scared of what was happening. My cage started sliding forward and I backed up to the back yelping for someone to come and help me out of here. My cage fell onto the ground and I fell with it hitting the side of the cage hard, I yelped loudly then realized the the cage popped opened.
I jumped out of the cage and started running around the building looking for a way out as it shook. All the long paw scents were stale and I realized my tail was under me as I ran. While I was running the floor in front of me cracked and it became two. I skidded trying to stop before I fell to my death, my back paws fell into it, I started yelping loudly and constantly. I tried clawing my way back up but it was no use I kept sliding into the hole.
All of a sudden I felt something grab my scruff and hall me out, they set me on the safe floor and stood over me. I looked up and saw another dog, I have never seen another dog like him, the only ones I have seen look like me or fierce dogs. But he was my height, sharp ears, light brown fur, bright blue eye, and a very curly tail.
He looked down at me and said "Be careful next time." Then he ran off into the dust. I layed there confused then I realized I should get out of here before the place falls. So I found my way out carefully this time.
I finally ran out into the street when I heard a CLASH behind me, my ears went back and I looked back and saw my home gone... I stared at it for a while, then bent my head back and howled in sorrow. I couldn't believe my home was gone, just like that. There was just a big crack in the ground.
I looked down at the harness that I was wearing and I was glad I had at least one thing that reminded me of home. I looked around at all the crushed buildings and all the dust still in the air that allowed the light brown dog to escape.
