The radio started sizzling, echoing the familiar sound of alert. Buzzing forming a rhythm that makes my ears bleed. A frustrated expression lurked on my face and I turned it off, there was no alert, just a silly broken kids toy. I stood silent with my hands by my side and my temptations kept still.
"Still no people out there?" his voice asked softly. I turned my head towards him and shook my head, a simple little jaw clutch appeared, it seemed we were both devastated. I looked away from him, brushing my hand through my blonde hair and gazing upon the paintings on the wall. It comes to my attention that I have been stuck in this building for a few days now, with no reason to leave whatsoever, so I was bored sick and I suppose he was too.
"Do we need food?" I asked him, correcting my button against my neck, that was half pierced through the hole to secure my suit. I waited for his response.
"I can go check." he pulled himself from his chair, stretching intensively as he groaned to himself. Looking away again I went to go check around the sitting room for anything to grab my attention. There was nothing. I heard him return to the room not long after. I turned my head to see his response. He nodded his head, sighing to himself.
"I'll go get some then." I smiled. I pulled the bottom of my suit down, making it look more representable. Lifting myself up from the floor I did the same again and smiled at him.
"You don't need me to come with do you?" he offered. I shook my head, smiling. "I'll be alright." I reassure him. He smiles at me, his smile almost paper white, enough to make my eyebrows raise in surprise. I wave him goodbye as I leave the building, a few major adjustments that had to be taken place to exit held back a embarrassing amount of gaze upon me.
