The Potter mansion remained silent the birds haven't even woken up to sing their morning tune or the house elves to start their daily chores in the kitchen however there was one person awake within the Potter mansion. Lyra Potter was eagerly awaiting the family owl to deliver the letter she has been waiting for her entire life or as long as she could remember. Today was the day she found out if she got accepted into the school of her dreams Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Her brother, James already went there and last year she begged for him to take her to Of Course he refused.
The Potter siblings were very close so a year without James was very dull. She spent most of the time reading books studying or star gazing. Every night after her parents were asleep, she would climb up to the roof and gaze up at all the stars. Lyra loved star gazing after all she was named after a constellation, she just wished she had someone to star gaze with. For she was very lonely she only knew her close relatives because she was home schooled, she didn't have many friends and the ones that she did have had already gone to hogwarts alongside her brother.
Lyra's thoughts were interrupted by a sudden knock on her bedroom window, it was the family owl with a letter tied to its foot, but it wasn't any regular letter it was her hogwarts letter. Lyra quickly untied the letter it read:
To miss Lyra Potter
Second bedroom to the left
Potter Mansion
Dear Miss Potter, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July. Yours sincerely,
