Enter: Park Mi Noo

3:30 am, Park Household

      Another sleepless night in the Park household.  Mi Noo struggles with his depressed life.  From being a top student in his educational institute to becoming a loser among his peers, Mi Noo's downfall was tragic. He struggles to sleep as all the nightmarish insults echo in his ears.  "Look at the cuck , he doesn't even deserve a girlfriend..... Bold of him to assume that Ji A will like him back...like she is way out of his league.... if you had been a real man, Ji A would have been your girlfriend...."  He reaches for the water bottle beside his bed and drinks water from it. He lies back down on the bed and falls asleep.

      After 10 minutes of sleep, he is woken up by an unseen force. He tries to move his arms and legs, but all his efforts are in vain. He looks ahead and sees a 7-8 foot tall creature near his bed. The creature stares at Mi Noo for a moment and walks close to him. Upon closer inspection, he sees that the creature is a dark-skinned male with long hair tied as locks. The creature also had a dark black beard and mustache . The creature carried a lance in his hand and is dressed in tiger skin like attire. He walks towards Mi Noo and keeps his arm on his chest. A second later, the creature disappears and Mi Noo loses his consciousness.

 The next morning

       Mi Noo wakes up to his alarm sound and sees that the alarm snooze active. "Shit, I am late," he exclaims. He gets ready in a rush and rushes down the stairs. He sees a note on the fridge which said, 'Breakfast is in the fridge. Finish it before you leave. Love, Mom'  He chows down his breakfast, grabs his sling bag and leaves his apartment after locking it. 

      Mi Noo soon reaches his university and runs to the first classroom. He places his bag on a table and goes to the washroom. While washing his hands in the wash basin, he looks in the mirror and finds the same creature standing at a distance behind him.  He turns around in fear, but finds no one there. Mi Noo ignores it and returns to classroom. He sits on his table and attends the first class. During the class, Mi Noo experiences something odd. He started hearing whispers in a foreign language as he tried focusing on the lessons being taught. 

      The whisper's only repeat one thing, 'Asi tvam Rudhrasya Ganah' Mi Noo somehow holds on till the end of the class and then rushes to the clinic in the University premises. The nurse asks him, " Mi Noo...what is wrong?"  Mi Noo replies, " I am not feeling well today. I hardly slept last night. Something weird happened to me last night." The nurse asks, " What was it?" Mi Noo replies, " Last night, I was woken up by an unseen force. I couldn't move, I couldn't speak, but I could see around. I saw a demonic creature walking towards me and placed its hand on my chest, and then I fell unconscious." The nurse nods and says, " What you experienced was a sleep paralysis. This usually happens if you don't get enough sleep." Mi Noo argues, " That's not all. I think I saw the creature this morning......" The nurse interrupts him and says, " Try sleeping, Mi Noo. If you have any problems related to that, please contact a physician or a therapist."

      Mi Noo says, " But, Lia-noona...." Lia says, " No. I will give a medical leave permission to you. You go home and take rest." Mi Noo nods and takes the letter from Nurse Lia. While on his way to submit the letter to the Student Welfare Head, he sees a boy being bullied by 4-5 others . The boys beat up the poor kid and demand his lunch money from him. Suddenly someone whispers in his ears , "Dushtaha.....nashtam kuruth. "
     
       A sudden urge to hit the bullies takes over Mi Noo, but Mi Noo shakes it off and goes to the SW head. He gives the letter to her and leaves the department. He looks at his phone and  looks at the new manga chapter notifications. "Not again...fuck man...", he exclaims. "What's wrong? ," a girl's voice asks. Mi Noo turns around to see a red haired girl who smiles on seeing him. Confused, Mi Noo asks, " I am sorry, do I know you?" The girl replies, " Well yes but actually no. I am a new transfer student, having the same major as you. My name is Han Mi Jung, nice to meet you." Mi Noo nods and says, " I am Park Mi Noo, nice to meet you. Now, if you excuse me, I need to go home as I am quite unwell."
