Phoebe and Vera own a bakery together, aptly named "Vee & Bee's Bakery." They decided that, after years of stress and near-death experiences, that it would be nice to settle down, get married, and start a cute little business. Of course, their bakery is run solely by the couple, as they still aren't trusting of outside "help." With Vera's unmatched baking and cake decorating skills, partnered with Phoebe's knack for charm and advertisement, the two make good money from the bakery.

As it neared the end of the working day, Vera handed a beautifully decorated vanilla cake to the only remaining customer in the shop.
"I hope you enjoy! Come back soon!" Vera said, smiling as the customer grinned, nodded, and all but skipped out the door.
"I've never seen you so cheerful, let alone while working," Phoebe remarked.
"I guess I'm just happy to be living my dream," Vera replied, leaning against the door to the kitchen.
"I hope we can stay like this forever," mused Phoebe. Although the couple were exhausted from a busy opening day, they were as bright-eyed as possible.
"Forever, yeah..." Vera trailed off, remembering the last time 'forever' was called to mind. "Maybe forever isn't the best goal."
Sensing Vera's unease, Phoebe spoke, "then we'll say... A good long time, yeah?"
"A good long time..." Vera thought for a minute, "I'll take it."
