Isabella's Pov
I finally pulled up to my new apartment in this huge city, I've always wanted to move here one day. Hopefully, it's nicer here than the last place. I shut off the engine to my truck and hopped out, and got onto the sidewalk and off of the road. I glanced at the number of the building to see if it was the right one, "2927 Lenard road, apartment number 22". I got the right place, now just to find Gary, owner of the complex. As I was about to go up the little staircase a bike rider flew by, I almost fell to the ground as the person went by. I steadied myself on the side of my vehicle, and once I did I went up to the door and got out the key the guy gave me before having my moving stuff.
I held up the key to the part of the door that had the lock, and I just noticed that the door had a keycard access lock. Dumbfounded I just looked between the door lock and the key, I felt like I just got bamboozled. I jumped as I felt a large hand on my shoulder, then felt stupid to leave my purse in the truck. I slowly turned around and saw the guy who gave me the key, Gary, I must have had a confused look on my face as the guy talked.
"Sorry I forgot to give you a keycard for the door, Isabella," Gary apologized, as he handed me my own special-made keycard.
"Oh thank you, and please call me Bella," I told him. He nodded in response.
"Go ahead, test it out," He pointed towards the door lock. I lifted up the keycard against the lock, it beeped and lit up to the green. I got a little excited since it was my first apartment after moving out of my parent's place, I went inside and looked at the old-fashioned building.

I watched as they walked into the building, I took note of Bella and what she has been doing for the past two years. I felt a few rain drops coming down, I looked up at my partner who was standing on the roof. He nodded towards me, signaling me to get ready to leave.
