Chapter 12

(sound of car's tire squeaking)

The sound of Kamol's car brakes sounded loudly when the white sedan overtook and cut the road, so Kamol's car immediately stopped.

"I'll go down and check it out, sir." said Ruth.

"Be careful" replied Kamol, taking the gun hidden in the compartment behind the driver's seat, in case of an emergency.

However, not long after, a young woman and man walked out of the car respectfully, showing remorse and apology before Ruth waved her hand in acceptance and motioned for them to continue on their way, before returning to the car.

"Why?" asked Kamol.

"Nothing, sir. The two kids were arguing in the car so they couldn't drive carefully and accidentally cut our way. So, I told them to come back and continue on their way." said Ruth.

"Hmm" replied Kamol, closing his weapon's compartment.

Kamol's life is surrounded by enemies, so he must always be able to protect himself and be prepared for all eventualities. When the car had left Kamol then ordered his bodyguards to continue the journey home.

Ringgg.... Ringgg...

Rut's cell phone rang. The young man picked up and answered the call.

"What!? Alright, I'll pass it on." Ruth said in a tense voice.

"What happend?" asked Kamol.

"It's from Pub S. They say a group set the Pub on fire." said Ruth.

Kamol also has several pubs and some of them even have special rooms for high level gamblers too.

"Why do they always try to burn my business? Can't they do something else?" Kamol muttered normally, as he was quite used to this kind of thing.

"Do you know who they are?" Kamol asked.

"They said surveillance cameras in the alley behind the pub caught footage of some suspicious people" Ruth said.

"Um, then, let's go to the S pub first, so I can find out who it is." Kamol said with a calm expression.

Not long after, Kamol arrived at his pub. By the time they arrived, the fire was out and the fire engines were ready to head back.

"Hello, Mr. Kamol." A police officer in charge of the area walks up to greet Kamol, as the pub is in the center of a tourist attraction.

"Hello, Inspector Prasarn" Kamol greeted back.

"I've done a preliminary investigation at the crime scene. Fortunately, the fire didn't spread too much" said the middle aged inspector.

"So, what are you going to do next?" Prasarn asks, as he knows Kamol well

"This matter, let me handle it myself. The police have quite a lot of work to do. Only arsonists like them won't bother me" Kamol replied with a faint smile, because he already knew that Kamol would not let the police interfere in this matter.

"Anyway, let there be no big news. And if there's anything I can help with, let me know."

"Thank you" Kamol said, before the police left without having to write a report. Kamol went into his own pub, which wasn't open yet, while Kamol's bodyguards were scattered around the shop.

" Hello, sir." The pub manager came in immediately, when he saw Kamol come in.

"Tonight, you check and calculate the damage and send all the documents as soon as possible" Kamol said while looking around.
