Said a toddler female voice

Julio groaned.

Julio groaned a little more louder.

Julio: What is it Carmen?! [He yelled as he woke up]
Carmen: We're going to get late for school...! [She stated with a frowned angrily at Julio]

Carmen: Yeah because you overslept...! Come on we have to go!

Julio jumped down from the strong tree branch and him, along with Carmen, grabbed their school bags and both kids started to run towards the school.

The sun was shining brightly, and the heat was being merciless as always, the kids finally arrived at the school, extremely sweaty and tired, catching their breaths.

Carmen simply ignored what Julio said and went in into the school.
Julio shrugged as he followed her.

The kids walked quickly across the hallway, at last they arrived at the classroom, only to see the teacher waiting disappointingly for them.

"I see you're late again, Julio and Carmen...". Said the teacher.

Carmen: Sorry Mr. Gonzáles... [she said, ashamed]
Julio: Yeah sorry.

"Not looking forward for apologies, just sit down please."

Both kids nodded and sat down in their desks.

The class continued with no problem. That is until...

The town's bell started ringing, this meant one thing.

Yelled the people across the town.
The kids where now startled.

The sound of a projectile shot from a canon was heard.

Julio suddenly got up, and the world turned white for him as a explosion was heard in the school.

Said a lady with a soft voice.

Julio grunted and coughed as he was slowly opening his eyes.

"Oh thank by the gods you're alright...! a second late and you would die by suffocation." [She said relieved]
Julio: Uhh what...? S-sorry i couldn't understand what you said... [Julio said, confused by the lady's language]
"You must be a outsider... your clothing, your skin color, your language... its all different."
Julio: Que?

Julio only felt a slight headache, he put his hand on the back of his head and rubbed it a little.

"You having a headache...?"

"Huh...?"

The lady just kept quiet and stared in confusion. Julio sighed, he looked around, he was found in a small shack, and laying in a some sort of bed? mattress? (futon),his bags where nowhere to be seen, he then put his hand in his chest. He still had Carmen's necklace.

With not much else to do other then know specifically where he is, he tried to get up, but the lady wouldn't let him.

"No! no no no! not yet! you just need some rest..."
Julio: Miss please...
"I know you might want to leave... but just not yet you need more rest that's all."
