The stars hold more than you might think
Wishes, hopes, dreams
The yearnings we have
Stay forever in the stardust
Whether they are
A hope at a better future
A dream to find true love
A wish to do better
It all stays in the stardust
Stardust will keep the secrets
Of young and old
Wise and naive
The stardust carries it all
All the burdens and strife
And the joy and friendship
The good with the bad
A part of us lives forever
In the stardust
The stardust is a piece of us
Our deepest, darkest fears
To what truly brings us light
To say that what you wish
Is gone forever
I don't believe to be true
I think a part of us is held
Outside of our true selves
The stardust holds the raw emotion
And the undying love for others
Our thoughts are not just ours
They live in the stardust
With the thoughts of many, many others
What we say
What we think
What we feel
Is never truly just ours
It belongs to the stardust
Stardust keeps us close
Yet so far away
It makes us who we are
And reminds us
What we say never leaves
Just because you have forgot it
Doesn't mean others have
Even though it is lost from us
Still it is alive
Be wise in your choices
Although you may forget them
The stardust will remember
