It's OK
when God sent you to Papa and me
I was a bit anxious and scared
Too many questions ran across my heAd
Will we be able to survive as first time parents
But... it's ok
You started your first steps then you learned to run
You smile, you cry, you get mad or excited at times
You tried to jump and skip
You bend, twirl, and sometimes scratched your knee
But it's ok
ABCs and Johnny Johnny are 2 of your favorites
To doodle and scribble
To color and draw
The list can go on thru and thru
You are a perfectionist
You get disappointed if you cant draw a perfect face
But it' ok
As early as 5, you start to write
Your own short stories
Sometimes you fret, "writer's block"
But it's ok
You started school and met a lot of good friends
I am so proud of you when you read and write in French
You always go home with a smile
Though sometimes, i see tears in your eyes when a friend says things that is Not nice
But it's ok
The world is fun and can be scary
All you have to do is be strong and brave
I am always and will always be here for you
Even if ur in medical school already, i will still drop you off and pick you up in school
Even if it means only 2 hours of sleep before i go to work
But... it's ok
As you turn 7... i wish that you keep on dreaming and believing in yourself
Chase your dreams and reach for the stars
You may fall, you may fail
It's part of life and it's ok
You are a smart, talented and good girl
You will go places, just like what Dr . Seuss says
I love you so much and i know you know that
We'll always be bestfriends forever together
You have my heart all the time
And you are my world
Happy birthday my love
I'll stop here i may cry
