While they shop, Steve and Nancy also explain how school works, telling Four the does and don'ts. They leave the store with bags full of clothes and enjoy a drive back to the Byers house filled with laughs, Steve and Nancy get worried though when Four leans forwards, "can I drive?"
"No!"
They both shout together, Four drops back in his seat, pouting.

The time had finally came. The first day of school in 1984 was about to begin and Four didn't know what to do. He was currently stood in the middle of his room surrounded by his scattered clothes, Jonathan appeared at his door with Will, the small boy blushing upon finding Four stood in only his boxers, "Four, dude, you need to get dressed", Jonathan looked down at his watch "we're leaving in 5 minutes, okay?", Four nodded at the words and grabbed some clothes, putting together an outfit that would help him survive the first day of school.

Once he had gotten dressed, and had breakfast, Joyce waved the three boys off, wishing them a good first day. The car ride was filled with it's usual laughs and Will telling Four about the latest D&D campaign- Four had learnt what the game was about just for the youngest Byers.
Jonathan first dropped Will off at school, watching to make sure the boy got to his friends safely, he then drove himself and Four to school. Once the car is safely parked, Jonathan turns to his friend, "if you ever need me, just come find me, okay?", Four nods and smiles, before slipping out of the car and running to catch up with Nancy.
The Wheeler girl slows down when she hears the people around her erupt with whispers, she strains her ears thinking they're talking about her:
"Wow, he's cute"
"I bet he's ripped under those clothes"
"Look at his ass"
Nancy turned, and a smile grew on her face when she spotted Four walking towards her, "hey, you want me to take you to the office?", the boy only nodded, looking around nervously, "don't worry, they're saying good things", her words did make the the boy relax slightly, before he tensed again when an arm landed across his shoulders.
"What's up, Felix?", Steve grinned down at his newest friend before he slotted himself beside Nancy, holding her hand, "everyone's talking about you", he then noticed the worried look on Fours face, "all good things, like your hot, cute, got a nice ass"
Four squinted at his friends, "ass?"
"Erm...", Steve looked to Nancy for help, but the girl shook her head with a giggle, "you know... this", Steve turned to show his butt, making Four do the same.
Nancy laughed when Four nodded, "yeah, it is nice"

Lunch had finally came, and Four walked over to Steve with a burning question, "what are these?", he dumped a pile of paper in front of Steve and Nancy, "girls keep giving me them... and some guys, it's... weird", Steves eyes had widened at the amount of numbers Four had been given.
"They're phone numbers", Nancy smiled at Four as she spoke, "they give them to you, so that you can go home and ring them later", Four nods, realising she was probably talking about dating (Joyce decided to explain this to him)

The last lesson of Fours day was Gym, he walked into the changing rooms with Steve and began to change, "shit dude, you're jacked", both of the boys turned to see Tommy H, "you're gonna be on my team", and Tommy was right, when the coach lined them up for soccer, Tommy chose Felix to be on his team.
Before everyone spread around the pitch, Steve looked at Four, "do you know how to play this game?", he had to be quick, and get to his own team.
"Yeah, Jonathan played a game with me"
Steve nodded, but was amazed by how well Four was doing; Tommy's team was cheering due to the many goals Four had made, by the end even the coach praised the new student.
By the end of the day, Four, or Felix as the school knew him by, was amongst the 'popular' people, being invited to parties left, right and centre and when he got into Jonathan car to go home, they Byers boy looked at him shocked, "I don't know how you've done it, Four", he then drove them to pick Will up and go home.
