Part 9

JJ and I arrive at Midsummers where we part ways, JJ catches up with John B at the docks that our next to the party. I make my way to my family where Kie is also right by us with her family. after a while with chatting with everyone, Kie and i make our way into the building where slowly go to the dance floor where we spot Sarah dancing Wheezy. Kie takes my hands, and we start to dance around the dance floor. 

JJ's POV

after dropping Rowan off at the party, I make my way to John B. After we have a quick catch up, John B asks for a favor

J- would you be able to do me a favor?

JJ- what is it?

John B handed me this kook looking suit making me look at him with a disgusted look as I took it

JJ- what do you need Routledge? 

John B looked at me a bit weird but shook his head and continued

J- I need you to sneak into midsummer and give Sarah this note

he handed me the note and I took it from him 

JJ- yeah, I can do that, what is going on with you and cameron?

J- nothing I just need her for information on the Royal Merchant

JJ- alright, Ill do that but you owe me

John B nods and I hide behind a tree, quickly throwing on my suit before hiding my clothes in a small bush than make my way inside the party. as I get inside, an make my way to the dance floor where Sarah is. When I was walking to the dance floor, I had caught her attention. I slowly start dancing around Sarah till I'm behind her 

JJ- Vlad has a secret mission for Valerie

I hand her the note and as I was about to walkway Rafe stops me

Ra- I'm wondering if you can get me mai tai, my friend

his friend- yeah pogue, how about you make that two?

JJ- yeah well I'm on the clock right now, you guys look spiffy. so why don't you guys just go ahead and wait at the bar an I'll be right with you

Ra- no, we're going to follow you

I start walking backwards before I turn and book it out the doors into the locker room, thinking that there was going to be a escape

Sarah's POV

As I turn away from JJ as I finally opened the note reading what was inside "meet me at the bag drop -Vlad" I than make my own slowly out of the party till I'm on the back porch where I meet "Vlad" aka John B. when i see him, i run up to him and embrace him

J- I need a favor from you, it's really important

S- yeah, what is it?

J- I need the plat map from your father's office

S- why do you need the plat map?

John B than explains his plan in which I agree to get him the map.

Rowan POV

As I was dancing with Kie, I looked over just to see JJ handing Sarah something. As they start to part ways, JJ gets stopped by my brother. I brush it off at first and continue to dance until I see JJ run into the locker with Rafe and his friends following after

R- Kie, I need to go grab something. I'll be right back

she nods and I make my way to the locker room where I start to hear fighting, the person was using a golf reference to estimate how hard he would hit him, and it sounded like someone was being held in a chokehold. as I walk in, I see JJ being held in a choke hold by Rafe's friend right as Rafe punches him in the gut. As Rafe was about to go in for a second punch to his gut, I step in front of JJ and turn to Rafe's friend (you might wanna play don't blame me by taylor swift for this part)

R- let him go!

his friend listens backing away from JJ as I turn back to Rafe 

Ra- why are you protecting a pogue?

R- he didn't do anything, just because he's a pogue doesn't mean he deserves this

Ra- why? do you love him?

he starts to laugh as I look down to my feet, the laughter slowly stops until it was dead silent

Ra- you do?! you do love him?! are you kidding me, Rowan?! you fell in love with a pogue especially him, he's a fucking dead beat!

I feel JJ start to move from behind me so I put my arm out stopping him right as I look at Rafe

R- he's not a dead beat, he understands me more than you guys ever will, he sees me as me. I love him

JJ's eyes widen as he looked towards me in shock of the words that had left my mouth

Ra- Rowan you can't be a part of this family and also date a pogue, so you have to chose. your family or a pogue.

tears start to fall from my eyes as I look at Rafe trying to see if there is any sign of him joking but to my dismay there wasn't

R- I chose my friends.

Rafe in utter shock and disappointment as he walks by me shouldering me before exiting the locker room with his friends following behind him. I look at JJ as he immediately wraps his arms around me pulling me into his chest, holding me tight as I break down.

R- I'm so sorry JJ

JJ- no no no don't apologize, you didn't do anything wrong. are you okay?

I back away from his grasp wiping my tears being mind full of the makeup I have on

R- yeah, I'm okay, we should go before things get worse

As JJ and I leave, we start gathering up the crew and then finally exits the party running into the night. While we are running, JJ picks me up and spins me around before we continue to run. we get to the campsite an I sit down on the log with JJ standing behind me.

K- what just happened?

JJ than begins to explain everything that happened but leaves out the part between Rafe and me.  right after he finishes explaining, John B goes over the plan, but the second Sarah was mentioned being involved Kie lost it and started arguing with John B. I felt JJ tap my shoulder making me look up at him before he signals with his head for me to follow him, so I do. we start to walk along the beach waiting till we were far enough to interlock our hands. when we find the perfect spot to sit, we do and start to walk the sunset. JJ places his hand on my face turning my head to look at him

JJ- Rowan Blair Cameron, I love you so fucking much

he leans in and soon our lips interlock, when our face parts I look at him

R- I love you too

we sit in silence for a few moments before I say

R- so does that finally make us official?

JJ- wait I thought we already were?

R- well we never officially said it, so I wasn't sure

JJ- oh well I thought it was obvious

we both giggled and turned our attention back to the sky just enjoying each other's company before making it back to the group
