prologue

It's 4 pm ash was getting dinner prepared for her and Tyler just how he likes, lasagna. he doesn't like it burnt whatsoever. he likes the cheese on top golden. ash puts the lasagna in the oven. meanwhile, that's cooking ash and Tyler snuggles up on the couch watching Friends. she got caught up in watching the show that she forgot to set a timer for the lasagna. all of a sudden the smoke alarm comes on and the meal is burnt to a crisp. ash immanently gets up and runs to the over and takes it out, Tyler is right behind her watching her take it out. ash starts crying and looks at Tyler.

"what have you done? you're so worthless can't even cook me a meal for fuck sake" Tyler screamed at her 'i'm so sorry bab-"Tyler cut her off before she can say anything else "don't you babe me ash you've ruined my dinner". at this moment ash is so scared she starts crying and shaking begging Tyler to not be mad. "I just wanted to make you your favourite meal before you go off on your business trip tomorrow' Tyler walked toward ash with an evil eye and slaps her knocking her to the floor. ash curls up in a ball and tries to shield her face to protect her. Tyler starts kicking her while saying "you're so unless. I never loved you, you're just a nobody to me" hearing those words come out of his mouth shaded her heart she didn't know what to say or do so she just stayed on the floor crying she couldn't speak or move because she was so terrified on what he would do.

The next morning ash woke up to the front door closing she was still on the kitchen floor from the previous night. her head hurt so she touch it and looked at her hand there was blood. she started sobbing and started crawling her phone that was on the coffee table. she was shaking while she reached for her phone to call her sister. her sister, beth answered after the fourth ring saying that she interrupted her and then said "what do you want now?" ash broke down "can you please come home I need you to help me" beth sighed "sure ill be there in 10 minutes" ash hung up the phone and look around. she felt relieved that Tyler is gone for a week.

beth finally arrive after 20 minutes. and saw ash on the floor covered in blood trying to get up on the couch. beth quickly run over to her and helped her up off the floor "what the fuck happened?" ash caught her breathe "I was making dinner when we were watching a tv show I forgot to set a timer for the stupid lasagna and it burnt he got really mad and hit and kicked me" beth was so mad that she wasn't home. "oh my god" beth got an ice pack for her bruises "I think I need to take you to the hospital" ash quickly turned around saying she doesn't want any hospitals and that he will notice. " you need to get out of this relationship or do something about it" ash began to think no way she could get out of this relationship alive so she thought about the only thing she could do, leave and never come back.
