The New Place

1. Kaden

This is the story of Kaden. Kaden is 16 years old and resides in the outskirts of Bristol. Today, Kaden is going camping with his cousins as one of his parents' many ploys to get him to know them better. This has to be the 8th time this month he has gone camping with them and he is beginning to get sick of it.

Something that sets Kaden apart from his Cousins (And his family) is that he has a strange obsession with the Ratchet and Clank series. He owns a dozen replicas and 8 of the 12 games (There are more I know, but I am only going to be including the main games) not to mention the movie.

Queue Kaden's opening line in 3...2...1...

"Dad! I literally have homework to do!" Kaden moaned.

"Really? Or are you going to be up playing those silly games?" Dad asked.

"C'mon dad, I'm not that obsessed with them." Kaden replied, sarcastically.

Kaden's dad chuckled at this.

"Don't hurry him, dear." Kaden's mum said, entering the room. "Stop talking so he can hurry up."

"I've spent too much time with my boring cousins. They want me to play board games and that's it! They don't want to know who I am, all they care about is how much Monopoly money they have!" Kaden tried to explain.

"Shush! Don't you dare speak to your Cousins in that manor! Now get in the car." Dad replied, offended.

Kaden began to mope as he trudged to the car.

"Keep your spirits high, dear!" Mum said, getting in.

"Listen, son. I know leaving your beloved games console behind can be quite sad, but you really have to suck it up." Dad said, getting in.

"Dad, I'm not 3. Also, I'm not moping because of my PS3." Kaden said, annoyed.

"Your cousins aren't bad people, dear. They may seem a little... boring for your taste but you will get used to it." Mum replied.

"Will I though?" Kaden asked.

"Of course you will dear!" Mum replied. "Now stop moping before someone sees you."

The car set off and began its journey to the campsite, which was on top of a steep hill. Kaden would usually spend his time up there when he wasn't playing video games as he found it calm and relaxing. He soon stopped after he discovered his parents spying on him as he thought they were trying to find him the perfect camping spot for when his cousins turned up.

When they arrived, Kaden could see his cousins waiting for him. Kaden got out and grabbed his stuff.

"Have a good time, dear!" Mum yelled as the car drove away. Kaden walked up the hill and towards his cousins.

Sorry for the long wait on this part, I have quite few things going on right now and to be honest I forgot about it.
