Rose and Dale's story.

Chapter 1

It has been three years since the Chipmunks have saved the toons from being bootlegged with the help of their friend Ellie.

Rose and Dale decided to start dating again and it's been wonderful. They wanted to get an apartment together so they bought one near a street that Chip lived on.

As it was early in the morning around 5am the clock started ringing making a paw reached out from under the covers slapping the alarm off as the person groaned.

"Dale." Rose groaned looking up from her sleep drowsy looking over towards her snoring boyfriend "Dale come on." Rose slammed her pillow down on Dale's face making him yelped.

Rose sat up stretching her arms up yawning walked off towards the bathroom that they shared.

After a few minutes of getting ready Rose walked out and saw that Dale had woken up wearing his old red Hawaiian shirt with the yellow flowers.

"Why does it have to be so early?" Dale groaned rubbing his eyes.

"Because Dale I have to be at the school before the kids does to get everything ready and you have a new job." Rose said as she fixed the collars of his shirt after that she kissed him softly as he kissed back.

Rose walked towards her car as she waved at him, he waved back with a smile as she drove off.

"Meow." Dale looked down to see Rose's cat Lu who looked worried as Lu looked up at him with his big green eyes.

"Yeah." Dale sighed "I'm worried about her too bud." Dale petted Lu's head softly making him purred in delight making Dale chuckled as he went inside followed by Lu as they had breakfast before Dale headed out for his new job.

Rose hummed the Rescue Rangers theme song as she walked in the empty hallways of the school but she stopped herself as she groaned.

"Great." She grumbled "now he has me doing it." She walked up to the classroom where she teaches in as she hopped on the door knob opening it with her keys as the door opened she leaned towards her desk and landed on her feet perfectly she smiled to herself "still got it."

Dale sighed as he hopped out of his car walked into a building where he got a new job as a worker at Walmart. Ever since three years ago he's been very protective of Rose and was concerned for her because she keeps having nightmares about Sweet Pete and bootlegging while he has nightmares about her dying in his arms on the docks.

The others are worried about the couple as they haven't got enough sleep because of these nightmares.

Chip like a older brother would be he would come over sometimes after work just to hang out with them like old times when they were kids just to get them to relaxed.

Durning their lunch breaks Dale and Rose would meet up and have a simple date without any news reporters interrupting them but then had to go back to work.

Dale looked up too see one of the workers he works with he smiled.

"Hey Dave!" Dale grinned as he rushed over climbing up on a cart to get his attention.

"Dale, bud!" Dave grinned as he fist bumped Dale "so." Dave looked down at his friend as he moved the carts back from the streets to the store to line them up "how's that little girlfriend of yours?"

"Oh Rose." Dale gave him a small smile "oh she's good." He shrugged "she is still teaching as a teacher."

"Okay, but how are you guys really?" Dave asked "I know you told me that you guys aren't having enough sleep."

"Oh that." Dale frowned sadly "I just wish these nightmares would stop." He hopped off the cart and on a table with a sigh "we're tired of getting up in the middle of the night one of us have to comfort each other make sure one of us are alive."
