Butterflies fading away

98 10 3

They're no longer here,
As you wished them to be.

No tingles, no racing of heart,
It was never you and me.

Sweet melodies were filled with lies,
Broken heart with no goodbye,
There was love for someone else in your eyes.

That passion compared to a red rose,
Has withered.
And it shows,
As your true colours were exposed.

There's no going back to the drawing board.
We were never a thing to begin with,
You made it all a rocky road.

There's no point for you to stay,
The rose is decayed.
You painted me blue and grey,
And the butterflies are fading away.
