Life of Innoh(Life of Pi) - Chapter 2: The Sinking of Tsimtsum

Life of Pi

"So.. that's the end of your story, Irr?" the novelist said. "Nope, not yet." then I continued the story.

 "We bought tickets for the Tsimtsum ship directing the passengers to Winnipeg, Canada. At exactly 8:00AM, the ship departs from Pondicherry, India. Anandi and I were playing, talking, joking, and many other things in our room. We heard a knock from the door.

"Who's this?" I said.

"I am Captain Stern."

"Captain? Why?"

"I am here to jail you. You have a crime record."

"Crime record? What crime record?"

"No need for explanation. Guys, get him!"

The guards quickly jailed Irr while Captain Stern interrogates Anandi.

"What's your name? Did he hurt you?"

"My name is Anandi. What do you want from me?"

"I have nothing to do with you... I just asked you." then he goes out.

Anandi sneaks Captain Stern until in the jail. She met Irr.

"Haha, Irr. What a nice name. I bet you're gay." Captain Stern said.

"No, you're the one who's gay!" I said.

"Okay, if you're not gay, get this key and release yourself." then he throws the prison key out of the room.

Captain Stern quickly goes out with his laughing companions. Anandi get the keys and released Irr. An explosion was heard after she released Irr.

"What's that?" she said.

"It's an explosion! We must leave quickly in this ship!" I said.

We ran to the deck of the ship and saw the water is going upon us.

"GET IN! GET IN!" I said.

We quickly entered an room and the water splashed in the ship. The ship was sinking slowly.

"Let's go down for the lifeboats!" I said.

We went down the ship and saw the lifeboats were all gone except for the last one. Almost all of the people in the ship was escaped. Captain Stern is seen shouting.

"Go! Go! Let's get to that lifeboat!" Captain Stern said.

"No! We must go quickly on that boat!!!" I said.

But, of course. We didn't get to the lifeboat. But atleast we catched 'em.

"Captain Stern, let us ride in the lifeboat!" I shouted.

"No, no, no. Tsk, tsk tsk, get your own lifeboat!" he said.

"No!!" I said.

But it was too late. The lifeboat is now released from the ship.

"I don't know what to do, let's get to the main deck. It's flooding here!" and then a explosion was heard again.

"Irr, I am really scared!!" Anandi said.

"Dont worry, Anandi! Do not fear! I am with you, I am your own courage. If I you are not with me, your courage will dissipate. If you are not with me, I also feel that way. I am too scared for your protection." I shouted.

We got to the main deck. The water is rising very fast. Electrical cords are connected in the water. We must go down to the flooding deck and rise in the non-flooded area.

"Get down, get down!" I said. We went down on that flooding deck. The water is bursting at us and we are forced to get back on the main deck. In the main deck, I seen a huge wave of water is coming at the ship. I knew that this is the end.

But I seen a lifejacket with complete scuba items.

"Irr, forgive me."

"No, you must forgive me."

"Irr, you are the one who must live."

"But you have our son!"

"No, I must sacrifice it. You need to protect yourself. I forgive you if you get another wife again. I will forgive you. Don't worry, I'll not haunt you when I'm dead."

"Girls are the one who must protecting themselves!"

"No..." she said.

"Good bye, Irr." the waves came upon us and Anandi was caught up by the wave.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" in my last words, I was saved by my lifejacket. I saw the ship sinking. It was really terrible. A few minutes later, the storm dissipated and I felt unconscious.
