Adam and Athena exchange stories
About the childhoods
They never had.
Life lessons don't come
From dirt and split skulls.
Mary and Alcmene compare tips
On raising godly sons
With absent fathers.
Gods are gods first
and parents second.
Lucifer and Hephaestus reminiscence
On being thrown from heaven
To make a home in the flames.
Creation and destruction walk
Arm in arm.
Eve and Pandora cry together
Over the world they broke apart
In their hands.
Scapegoats eat the grass
Set before them.
