Chapter Thirty Seven

"Lalabas Tayo"

I turned off my phone.

"Athalia?" nang narinig ko ang boses ni Mishael ay bumalik na ako sa wisyo.

Pagbukas ko ng pintuan ay agad na bumungad sa akin si Mishael na may dalang isang bouquet ng bulaklak. Kumirot ang aking puso dahil kinakain na ako ng aking konsensya matapos ang lahat ng mga nangyari sa pagitan namin ni Eleven habang wala si Mishael.

He hugged me tight.

"God how I missed you, Athalia.. Come here.."

I felt his warm chest against my cheeks.

"I missed you too, Mish."

"Here, flowers for you." Nakangiti niyang ibinigay sa akin ang flowers.

"Thank you." Ngiti ko sa kanya. Tumingin siya sa aking mga labi.

We kissed. It was long and passionate. And we ended up in bed.

It was so irresponsible and impulsive of me, dahil on short notice pa talaga, I called up Cinderelle from my clinic to cancel all my appointments in the morning. I made up some ridiculous excuse. I felt like I should have my license revoked dahil sa pagiging horny ko.

I can feel Mishael's longing for me from the way he held my body, the way we showered me with kisses all over. We did it twice and nakatulog pa ako in between.

He was my first. And the first time we did it was on our first anniversary where we went to the beach in Boracay.

"Kelan ka pa umuwi?" Habang pareho na kaming nakahiga sa aking kama, both naked and cuddling together, ngayon pa talaga kami nakapag-usap ng maayos.

"Kanina lang. Pumunta ako rito kaagad para makita ka." Hinaplos ni Mishael ang pisngi ko. He kissed me on the forehead.

"I'm glad umuwi ka na..." Totoo iyon. Dahil ngayon na nasa tabi ko na siya. I can focus on him and only him.

"Me too." He chuckled. "Let's do it again?"

"Baliw! I need to go to work later. I cancelled my morning appointments just for you, ah!"

Mishael laughed out loud and started cuddling me tighter.

Magmula nung naging kami na ni Mishael ay naging marunong na siyang tumawa at makihalubilo sa mga tao. I'm so proud of him dahil tumigil na siya sa pagiging negative niya sa buhay. Sometimes natatakot ako tuwing iniisip ko kung paano kaya kung maghiwalay kami? Will he go back to hating the world again?

"I love you, Athalia."

Napangiti ako.

"I love you too."

Pilit kong kalimutan ang mga nagawa ko nang wala siya. This was my life before Eleven came back. Things should stay this way...

"Let's have dinner this weekend." Aniya. "Lalabas tayo."

"Sure! I'd love that." Ngiti ko.

"Wear something nice."

Tumaas ang aking kilay. "Okay? Anong occasion?"

"It's a fancy restaurant type of date, that's all."

Ang weird naman. When Mishael plans our dates, he usually doesn't choose fancy restaurants as our venue. Pero gayumpaman, umoo ako. Baka bumabawi lang siya dahil matagal siyang nawala.At ako din... Babawi ako. He's the man I chose to be with. Mamahalin ko siya at pasasayahin ko siya.
