Forever

A/N: I am going to skip to right after the trial and Arizona winning because I'm too lazy to actually write about the whole court case so I hope you guys still enjoy <3.

Arizona's POV:

I can't believe I just won. Sofia is not going to be taken away from me. "I seriously feel like my cheeks are going to fall off.", I tell Amelia while smiling and crying tears of both joy and sadness.

"I am so happy that you're not going to be loosing her." She hugs me tightly as we walk outside. 

I walk her over to a bench and we sit down. "Thank you for being so supportive, even with the rude things Callie had said about me."

She grabs my hand and her other wipes away my tears. "Listen, I would do absolutely anything for you and Sofia, and all I did was follow my gut in there."

"I love you.", I tell her we stare into each other's blue orbs.

She kisses me gently. "I love you most, Zona."

"You know that's not even possible."

"It most definitely is." We both start to laugh.

"Let's go get our daughter." I pull her up from the bench.

"Our?"

"Yes our. Now we'll discuss this later." I give her a smile.

I'm the car after picking up Sofia from Mer's:

"Hey sweetie, where do you want to go for dinner?" I look into the rear view mirror.

"Um I'm not sure.", Amelia answers.

I start laughing as I turn to face her.

"You weren't talking to me, were you?" She joins in with Sofia and I laughing.

"I was not, but thank you for the very intelligent answer Dr. Shepherd.", I joke

"I want to go to Sol De Javier!", Sofia excitedly says as she breaks apart name and I'd intense eye contact.

"Alright I can make that happen." My face lights up as she says the name of that restaurant.

"Better buckle up kiddo. You know your mama is a crazy driver.", Ame jokes around with Sofia.

"I am not!", I say defensively watching Sofia buckle up before I put the car in drive.

"You are though Mama." Sofia giggle.

"Fine, I guess I'm outvoted."

"We still love you, my love." Amelia kisses me as I stop at a red light, grabbing my hand to hold in her lap.

Look at this. The perfect family. It's all I ever wanted, especially with Amelia. Even with Callie too. I'm still upset that the trial went down how it did, but I know that Sofia will never be without Callie. I just needed to make sure that she couldn't ever be taken away from me, and I never see her again.

As we get seated at the restaurant, I feel the poking in my dress pants pocket that I've felt every time I sit down for the past month now. 

Sofia drags me out of my thoughts as she steals Amelia's seat next to me forcing her to sit across from me, which I don't mind at all. We eat our dinner and mess around, as always.

"Can I interest any of you in some dessert?", Our waiter asks while holding the desserts menu.

"Oooo yes please!", Ame and Sofia say at the same time earning a laugh out of me.

"Alright, we'll I'll just leave these with you guys." He sets down the menus.

"What are you gonna have, Sof?", Amelia asks Sofia while looking at the menu.

"The chocolate lasagna cake of course!", She replies so energetically.

"That's a good choice."

"What are you having Lia?", Sofia asks her.

There little nicknames for each other make my heart happy.

"Probably the fried ice cream."

"YUM. What are you going to have mommy?"

"I think I'll just share some of Ame's ice cream." I cant even think about eating dessert right now with what I'm about to do.

Amelia's POV:

Zona gets up out of her seat, quickly, after we order our dessert.

As she gets up I see her walk over to our waiter before he goes into the kitchen and whisper something into his ear.

I don't like this at all.

"How's saving people's brains?", Sofia asks me and I loose sight of Zona.

"It's good. Messy and hard, but nothing will ever beat the thrill it fills your own brain and body everything."

"I want to feel a thrill like that." She innocently smiles.

"Once you find something you truly love, you will." I take my hand and rub it on her head messing up her hair a little.

"Hey!!" She does the same back to me.

"At least I look stylish like this", I tell her.

"I bet I look better.", She tells me very sassy like.

"Oh, I bet you're right." I laugh.

All of a sudden I see Zona walking back with the waiter, who has our dessert.

He hands Sofia her cake, and she dives right in.

As he hands me mine, I notice a heart made from chocolate syrup on the side and Zona reaching to her pocket.

She pulls out a small box and my heart starts to overflow with love and my brain clouds with too many emotions.

She takes my hand and pulls me out of my seat. As we're standing in the isle, she gets down on one knee and opens the box.

In it is a beautiful ring with the most beautiful of diamonds in it. Tears cloud my eyes and I seem to only see blurs.

"Amelia Frances Shepherd, you have made me so incredibly happy since Hopkins. Even when we had to part, we still managed to find one another again. I want nothing more than to never have to part ways ever again. I also had to come to this restaurant to ask this life changing question because it's the first place we ever had a real public date. I love you more than surgery. So, my love, will you make me the happiest person in the entire world and marry me?" I see her smile the biggest I've ever seen through my tears and I feel my face turning bright red.

"Of course I will, is that even a reasonable question? I love you so very much." I giggle while she puts the ring on my finger, and I here Sofia clapping.

"YAYYYYYYY." As her mouth is filled with cake and her face is covered in chocolate.

"I told you I love you most. You can't even say one word because look who proposed first." We switch from laughing at Sofia and looking into each other's eyes.

We kiss. Her lips lock with mine, and I know that this is forever. My new family.
