Trashy. There had been nothing better to describe Ginny's summer. Everyone was trying to get back to normal with their lives as summer began, but it was kind of hard for her.
Just a few weeks into summer, Ginny had woken up with a blood stain on her sheets. She'd cleaned herself up and changed her sheets, and calmly brought the soiled sheets to her mother. Her mother had taken her in for a "talk". She'd given her a lengthy speech about how girls are different. Ginny could tell her mother had prepared for the speech for her entire life. There were literally tears in her eyes.
She'd listened patiently throughout the talk and her mother decided to discuss it with her brothers too, because- come on, let's face it- it was very hard to keep secrets like this in a house full of boys. They'd listened and Ron had made faces, Fred and George cracked jokes about it, their dad looked like he should have been swallowed by a crocodile on his way downstairs, and Percy had just listened.
The next few days for Ginny were tough. She'd wake up feeling sad for no apparent reason, wear sweatshirts and pants, and tie her hair up in a messy bun and stuff her face in chocolate. She'd once taken a bite out of her mother's delicious blueberry pie and sobbed all over it, on how she didn't want to live because her stomach hurt.
Her mother was very sympathetic about it, and her father comforted her at times. Her brothers, as usual were very insensitive. Molly Weasley had made a quick trip to Diagon Alley and brought her Ms. Jabbyhooks' Pain Relief Potion, which became her most prized posession thereafter.
After her emotional phase was over and she was finally alright, Percy had left them. He'd had a fight with their dad, he'd humiliated their parents. He was no brother of Ginny's anymore. And what was worse, then they were told that they were to relocate for the rest of the summer- from the beloved Burrow to Grimmauld Place, which they were told was where Sirius lived.
Grimmauld Place was a musty mansion which was anything but clean. It smelt dusty and of old socks and it way dirty. Very dirty. The floorboards creaked and she was sure the mansion was home to dark magic.
What was an actual pain in the ass (excuse the language, mum) was the portrait of Mrs. Black, Sirius's mother bellowing and screeching and screaming like a pack of canaries with a sore throat. They had barely entered the house when screeches of - "FILTH AND DISHONOUR TO THE HOUSE, BLOOD TRAITORS AND WEREWOLVES AND ALL SORTS OF DISGUSTING HALF BREEDS-"
Then there was Kreacher, the soddy house elf that had served the Black's for years. He was old and very loyal to Sirius' mother. He didn't like them at all and made it a point to tell them off all the time.
Tonight was the night Ginny met the Order of The Pheonix. They were a group of people recruited by Dumbledore to fight the dark forces that had recently come into play.
"Boys, Ginny, " their mother motioned to the people seated at the very creaky dinner table that night. "I'd like to introduce you to the Order. You may know most of them, but oh, well" she sighed, "That's Remus, next to him's Alastor, next to Alastor- that's Tonks- and Mundungus" she said pointing at each one.
Ginny recognised Professor Lupin and Professor Moody. Next to Moody was the woman called Tonks- she smiled brightly at all of them and her hair changed color from purple to bubblegum pink.
"Wicked!" Said Fred.
"How did you-"
"What was that?"
"I'm a metamorphagus." She explained, pleased by the attention. "I can change my appearance at will."
"Sit down, now" their mother said, ushering them around.
Ginny sat next to Tonks. "Hiya, what's your name?" Tonks asked her.
"I'm Ginny" she said, helping herself to chicken stew.
