I knocked on Tails door

No answer

Tails please open the door!!

No answer

Tails!! You leave me no choice!! I'm gonna count to 3 and you better-

What do you want sonic?!? Tails yelled opening the door

If it's about going on an adventure or something like that, forget it!!

Tails.....I think there's a way we can bring Cosmo back to life....

Tails just stood there jaw dropped

No....he finally answered people don't just come back from the dead

But will you at least try what I have to say?? We both know that seed never grew into anything.

The thing is with us when tails got a seed after Cosmo's death he tried to plant it and water it but....nothing ever happened at all.

You could see why Tails was so heartbroken. After he found out his plant wouldn't grow....he lost all hope that Cosmo would return and became depressed

I know Cosmo meant a lot to you Tails...

Tails silently nodded

So if there's a chance you could see Cosmo once more wouldn't you want to at least try it?!?

...fine Tails finally agreed what do we do?

Get the tornado ready.....I'll tell you where to go on the way

This seemed very vague and odd from Sonic but Tails still agreed anyway

For some reason they were flying over an ocean which didn't make sense considering Sonic hated water but Tails didn't question it

While they flew Tails asked where he should be flying to but Sonic just said to keep flying forward until he said so

....so he did

Things were silent for about a few more minutes

Then sonic finally spoke up

There!! Land near that cave!!

He did as he said and they entered some dark blue cave

Sonic....Tails began what exactly did you bring me here for?!?

Tails....Sonic sighed I really wish I decided to tell you this earlier but....I only wanted to proceed with this if it was dire

Sonic....what do you mean?!? Your not making any sense....Tails replied but sonic didn't answer

Tails....a long time ago I was on my own adventure....do you remember the Chaos Emeralds?

Well...yeah! Of course I do but-

Sonic continued well there's something I haven't told you, on one of my adventures I encountered 7 other types of gems

What?!? What do you mean?!

Sonic led Tails into another room where They saw the 7 gems sonic supposedly Was talking about

I promised not to use these again because it could be devastating if they were to fall into the wrong hands

Sonic...I don't get it what does all this have to do with.....C-Cosmo?!?

These gems are called Time Stones Tails....unified they can be used to control Time itself

Sonic....Tails said shocked by what Sonic had told him ....wh-what are you saying?!?

I'm saying Cosmo didn't deserve to die and I never wanted to use these Stones but you desperately miss her terribly don't you?

Y-yeah....

Then I've got news for you little buddy with these time stones we can go back in time....and prevent Cosmo's death from ever happening

Are you up for the task Tails?

Tails was shocked beyond belief....thought about it for a moment but finally answered

I promised Cosmo I would protect her....and I failed....I don't want that to be reality.....

She was one of our closest friends so....

Yes!! I DO want to go through with this plan I'll do whatever it takes to bring her back!!

Sonic smiled

Now THATS the Tails I know!! Anyway we need an invention to help us harness the time stones power and control it. And I think your the perfect guy for the job Tails!!

Of course Sonic!! What are we waiting for? Let's get back to the workshop!!

While they flew back Sonic thought to himself

This plan is pretty dangerous but....

I want a chance for Tails and Cosmo to be happy again!! So I'll do whatever it takes to bring her back!!
