Ever Met a Daughter of Venus? (Editing, chapters may be confusing)

Chapter 2

The next morning Jane woke up in a fowl mood. She had realized at 2am that it was the call back later that day. She had a hard time sleeping the rest of the night.

She quickly dressed in a turquoise flowy top and dark skinny jeans. She also put on a pair of black boots. She combed her hair and put a silver headband in. She stomped down the stairs, walked into the kitchen and grabbed a piece of toast.

"Good morning" Michelle said cheerfully as she walked in the room. 

"hmph" She mumbled.

"Well someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, hmm?" Chris laughed as he grabbed the bread out of my hand. Jane just scowled at him.

"Okay, so I have a date with Andrew today. Jane, how do I look?" She was wearing a white sundress that came right above her knees, a light brown braided belt ran across the middle, and she was wearing brown sandals.

"One word- ADORABLE" Jane smiled. Her sister could be annoying and girly as anything, but she is beautiful.

"Really" She smiled and her face lit up.

"Ya"

"YAY!" And she ran out of the room. Jane frowned and looked down at her empty plate, then at Chris. She gave him the meanest death stare she could conjure up. 

"Don't worry Jane, you look beautiful too" He hugged her and ran up the stairs.

"Jerk" She muttered. She grabbed a granola bar and headed out the door. It was a Saturday so she didn't have school. Jaden offered to drive Jane to her call back.

When she got outside he was already there. He smiled and walked over to her. "Hey best friend" Then he hugged her. He let go.

"What was that for?" She asked. He shrugged.

"You just looked like you needed a hug"

"On second thought, I think I need two hugs." She put her arms around him again. "Well we better be going, the audition's at 9:45"

"Why so bloody early?" He cursed under his breath.

"Oh stop talking like the british, only they can pull that off"

Jane Mayer sat in the long rows of chairs in the Nicholson Auditorium. She pulled out a picture of her mom and dad. They looked so happy. Her mom had wavy dark brown hair, while her dad had curly blond hair and blue eyes. This auditorium was named after her father. He is not dead, but Venus had divorced him.

The a girl poked Jane on the shoulder. "Hello, are you Jane Mayer?"

"Yes, and you are?" Jane asked confused. The girl looked about twelve and long wavy brown hair, and blue eyes. 

"I am Claire Smith, I am auditioning for the part of Daniella. That is Annie's little sister." She Claire said. "They paired us up together"

"Cool. Do you want to practice our lines together?" Jane asked.

"Sure, I'll start" Claire replied.

They recited their lines together for an hour. A man in a black suit came in and called them into a room that had the same directors as last time. They were having a chemistry shot. They wanted to see how well Jane and Claire worked together.

The judges told Jane and Clair to do scene 23. It is the scene were Annie and Daniella are discussing their new found cousin, Peyton Marks. Claire thinks he's nice, but Annie despises him. On the last part they find out he had been listening.

When Jane and Claire got to that part they stopped. The woman looked at her "Why did you stop?"

"Because we can't do that scene with out Peyton Marks" Jane replied.
