i am learning
slowly but surely
my worth as a queer individual
i used to be always hiding
to the extent that it just felt normal
to hide that part of myself
but as i met new people
people who had come to terms with their identity more than i had
i began to see that it's okay to be open about myself
i shouldn't be scared to say that i am bisexual and non-binary
people may see it as overbearing and ask
"why are you making it your whole personality?"
because it is me.
it is who i am.
i am not going to be afraid of telling people who i am
i've hidden it for too long in fear of judgment
judgment is something that happens regardless of how conforming to society you may be
so i am learning
slowly but surely
that it's okay to be me
