Sally Jackson gave birth to twins. A boy and a girl.
The older one, the boy, was named Perseus (Percy) Jackson. Named after the Greek Hero.
The younger one, the girl, was named Marina Jackson, a gift from the sea (Poseidon).
August 20, 1995
Not long after their 2nd birthday.
Poseidon came to visit.
'Sally—' She could hear her father say.
'No Poseidon. No. You can't take her away from me!' She could hear her mum beg.
'I have my reasons, Sally. You have to trust me. You have to.' Her father said.
Pushing her toy car on her brothers back. She saw her father walk to her.
'Hey Marina. Hiii.' He said, 'I'm your father.'
'Dada.' She said.
'Yes. Dada.' Poseidon said, 'Hey kiddo, I going to bring you to the sea.'
'Sea...' she would mutter, 'Sea...'
He brought her to the sea.
She never came back ashore.
Not until the Titan War.
Not until she was 16.
