Chapter One

Three weeks ago...

BANG

"When were you going to tell me that you're retiring? What the hell Andrew!" I complained while walking through the wooden doors of his office.

Spinning around from his chair "Well good morning to you too Alice. I was going to tell you but you beat me to it like always."

Being so furious all I could manage to do was to glare at him.

"Aww come on Alice everything is going to be alright."

Liar

"When?"

"I'm sorry?"

"When are you leaving Andrew?" I crossed my arms, shaking my head.

"In three weeks."

What about the project we've worked on? Whose going to be the new CEO?

I sat down into one of the chairs in front of his desk.

"Don't worry about the new CEO position my dear I will have my son take my spot and help with continuing the project even though I know that you'll take care of everything until it is settled." he chuckled as if reading my face was an open book.

"I swear Andrew, if things don't work out the way it's suppose to then I will personally drag your ass back in this office."

"Alice calm down. Trust me I know what I'm doing everything will be alright. Don't you remember I'm always right."

Sure, always right my ass. I'm not liking this at all...

Sighing I got out of my seat and headed towards the door. All I can think about is how badly things will be from here on out.

"Whatever Andrew."

"And Alice?"

"Yes?"

"Don't forget the meeting with the contractors in 15."

"Yes sir."

Three weeks later...

"Did you hear about Mr. Maxwell's son Alice?" Carrie asked from the desk across.

"Mmm" was all I could manage to say while I typed away the meetings for Andrew's final day.

Andrew hated being called by his last name, said it made him feel old (even though he is). Other then that he considered me practically family since we're on first name basis always says that I was the daughter he never had and wish his son was more like me.

When I first started here, Andrew told me that I walked into the interview with confidence when really I have been tripping on almost everything I bumped into. For instance, the shirt I was wearing was white and some dick decided to wet my shirt with coffee and my purse got splashed with white paint. So really I had a bad morning. Ugh I'll never live that down.

"Alice are you even listening to me?" Carrie threw three rubber balls towards me.

"The hell was that for idiot? I'm working and so should you." looking up from my work, glaring.

"As I was saying whore, from what I've heard Mr. Maxwell's son is a hella fine panty dropper and doesn't disappoint when it comes to the bedroom too. Maybe he'd ask for my number, don't you think so?

Ugh does she ever not think about guys numbers? It's to early in the morning for this and I didn't even have my damn coffee yet.

"Carrie I do not care for the guy. I just want to finish this and get ready for the meeting at 8 alright? Look the only thing I can hope for is that he is a bit more mature than Mr. Maxwell himself though I will miss the old fart." I chuckled to myself. "Besides I thought you were seeing someone." raising an eyebrow at her.

"I was but the guy turned out to be an arse. Just wanting to have sex every second he got. So I just kick him in his nuts and made him leave and he was f*cking married too so I was hella pissed"

Damn this woman sure knows how to talk.

Rolling my eyes, I went back to work and finished around 7:45. So with fifteen minutes to spare I finally got my morning coffee and started getting the meeting room ready.

As fast as the meeting came it ended with a breeze. No disagreements what's so ever. Everything was in place for the new CEO to take over and continue the MBP project. All we can hope is that nothing goes wrong.

Andrew walked into the middle of the office grabbing everyone's attention mine included. He looked around with a wicked grin on his face. Then his eyes landed on mine. I know those eyes...

Somethings not right here...

"Can I have everyone's attention please? I have had a wonderful experience with all of you, even the ones who didn't stay. I couldn't ask for any other employees like you guys. I may be gone but I will visit," he said while keeping eye contact with me.

Why do I have the feeling that I won't like this...

"so without further ado I introduce you to my son David Maxwell, your new CEO."

Oh shit...

Okay guys (who ever is reading) this is my first story I ever really wrote that I thought was worth sharing just to see if I'm any good at this. So if you guys can comment on what you think that'd be awesome.

And as far as grammar goes, it be nice if someone points out what I did wrong. But anyways please be kind with your comment and no cursing unless there jokes.
