"You're a jock aren't you?" I looked over to see Linda talking to a really cute guy. "Yeah I play hockey. In fact I'm the captain of the new J.V. team." He looked so proud, poor guy. He's totally getting judged by Linda, she's so pretentious and he actually seems like a nice guy. Or maybe he's just hot I don't know.

"Forget about it all you warrior jocks stick together." I roll my eyes. There she goes again, judging.

"But I'm not a warrior, I'm a duck." The boy tried to tell her as she just walked away not listening. Kinda rude honestly. I feel bad for him so of course I gotta go talk to him.

I walk up to him and cut to the chase. "Hey." He looked confused. "Uhh hey?"

"I wouldn't worry about Linda. She's kind of up on a high horse for like some reason. I'm really not a fan of it." I explain to him. "Don't take what she says personally or anything." He smiles at me. "Oh thanks I won't. Just kind of bummed cause I thought she was pretty. But hey what can ya do." He shrugged.

"Find another pretty stranger to flirt with." I suggest which makes him laugh. "Like you?" He questions me. "So what you're saying is you find me pretty." I smirked at him. "You caught me there I guess."

"You're pretty cute yourself." I boldly reply. "Well in that case how about we forget about Linda and we go out for a milkshake or something?" He suggests. "Sounds like a great plan, meet you outside school when it's over?" I ask. "See you then." He gives me another smile before walking off.

Eeek I got a date with a hottie. Thanks for being kind of a bitch Linda.

I walk out the door of school and look for the mop of mousy brown hair. I finally zero on him and head towards him. He gives me a dazzling smile when he sees me walking in his direction.

"Hey ready to go?" He asks me when I get to him. "Sure am." I reply giving him a bright smile.

We start to walk towards the diner. "So I take it you and Linda aren't friends?" He questions me. "Nah she's just too uppity yuppity for me."

"Uppity yuppity?" He asks laughing at me. "Yeah someone who thinks they're up on a pedestal. Like she thinks she's better than most people, especially jocks. I get that most are jerks but some are nice people who just really like playing a sport. Like you for you example."

"So you think I'm nice?" Charlie asks me. "Well so far you seem to be anyway." I smirk at him. "I'll take it." We both laugh.

We chatted about everything and anything, it was just easy to talk to him. I feel like we really click, hopefully he feels the same.

We were currently sitting in the diner sipping milkshakes. "Y'know I'm glad that Linda was rude to me, I got the chance to talk to you. I saw you awhile back but I was too shy to say anything to you." Charlie admits.

"Well I'm glad I came over to check on you." I put my hand on top of his one that was resting on the table. He smiles at this. "Yeah me too."

He pauses like he was thinking of what to say. "I'm just gonna go for it, I really like you y/n. We've only ever talked today and I feel like I've known you forever." I was screaming on the inside from this revelation but remained calm on the outside. And blushed of course.

"I really like you too Charlie." I admit to him. "Thank God." He jokes. "I was wondering if you'd like to go out on a date with me."

"Of course I will." I say. I really wanted to kiss him. It was like he read my mind because next thing I knew he was reaching over and kissing me. It felt amazing.

He puts his hand on me cheek, stroking it with his thumb. I felt butterflies like I've never felt before.

I can't believe I'm going on a date with this hottie. All I can say is thank you Linda.
