WHAT MAKES A MONSTER & WHAT MAKES A MAN? Growing up, children are taught that monsters are mythical beings who could only harm them in the shadows, under the bed or on the darkest night. They are taught that it is easy to identify them by their size, discoloration or grotesqueness. These monsters can be felled by heroes or saved by a pure-hearted princess. Selfishness, cruelty and intolerance will never win as long as there is goodness, mercy and justice.

However, as these children become older some (but not all) learn a vital lesson: monsters aren't just found in storybooks; moreover, some even hide in human skin. The line of good and evil can blur until it becomes a murky grey, until it is impossible to tell where one's morals lie. It is these unscrupulous men (or women) that have the terrifying power of taking the world by storm. They are the ones who rise to the top because a kind lie is preferred over the ugly truth. They succeed where others fail because some of these children never learn and can be swayed by the promise of glory. But, all is not lost as there is a thread of silver lining: 

— some (but not all) children are born inherently good. There will always be those who remain soft and compassionate, and they are the ones who will save the world from being razed to the ground.

    I do not appreciate comments about other fanfics on my work. Comparing my characters to those of other fanfics takes away from my effort to create them. Authors spend many hours working on chapters for free (because we (usually) love to do it!); doing this diminishes their dedication to create unique characters and plots. I believe myself to be very tolerant of how readers interact with my books but this is one thing on which I will allow absolutely no flexibility.
