"I love you Otis" (OL)

Ever since I moved to this motel, my mom seemed more toxic than ever. She would force me to do everything, such as the laundry and the bills. It was so stressful. On one of the days that my mom didnt give me any tasks, I went to the pool. I jumped in and was immediately swallowed by the cold water. As I poked my head out of the water, I caught a glimpse of a cute boy around my age.

He jumped in the cold water, and it splashed all over me, making me laugh. He swims over to me and held out his hand.

"I'm Otis." He said

"Y/N, nice to meet you."

...    *few months later, Y/N and Otis are really close*

"Y/N! GET OVER HERE NOW!" I stormed over to my mom wondering what she was gonna say. "WHY IS THE LAUNDRY NOT DONE?" She yelled, making me jump. "I'm sorry, I got distracted and didnt finish." I mumbled. "Well do it now." She spat, slapping my face and storming away. My eyes filled with tears as I walked across the street to the laundry room. As I was walking out with the clean clothes in my bag, I saw Otis at the pool. I quickly went inside and folded the clothes, putting them away. I made my way to the pool, tears streaming down my face.

I tried to stay quiet, but he heard my sobs. He turned around, and his face immediately filled with sorrow. He got up and pulled me into a tight embrace. His arms were wrapped around my neck and my arms were around his waist. He had his hand on the back if my head, softly scratching it occasionally. "Whats wrong?" He asked me, his voice filled with sympathy. "My mom- she hit me-" Was all I could say. "I'm sorry" I said. "No baby, dont be sorry. Its not your fault." I got butterflies at the name. "Do you want to come to my place? My dad isnt gonna be home for a few days." He told me. "Yes please."

He layed down on the bed, me following soon after. He pulled me onto his chest. "If you need anything I'll be right here. I'll always be there for you." He said.

"I love you Otis."

"I love you more darling."
