There’s this kid
Down the street
He laughs and he plays
He’s young and he’s sweet
There’s this little girl
I met last week
She smiles and she runs
She plays hide and seek
There’s this guy
Who helped me today
He grins and he jokes
He asked me to stay
But now there’s something
You need to know
These people aren’t what they seem
There are things they don’t show
The girl has a dad
Who abuses her every night
She thinks that it’s normal
So she does never fight
The boy lost his parents
About a year ago
Now he’s all alone
Feeling sad and low
The guy has been told
He’s worthless too much
Now he wants to die
Frightened by every touch
People hold secrets
Stories and dreams
Never judge someone
Because it’s not what it seems
