"it all started when we left the theater,  when we were all laughing and having a good time but then..."  Mila trailed off as she told her best friends which happened to be the people she was with at the time it happened. "what happened after that though, we all were there, you looked normal. Myla, this just seems to hard to believe. are you sure that you're not just making all of this up?" her friend Kylie said to her, Kylie didn't believe myla one bit. neither did her other friends, Sadie and day. "Kylie, I know what I saw. you know that I would never lie." myla said with fear in her voice. the AC of the house turned on and blew throughout myla's room. "myla, I know that you would never lie-" Kylie got cut off. "THEN WHY WONT YOU BELIEVE ME? YOU KNOW I WOULDNT LIE TO YOU GUYS SO WHY WOULD I START TO LIE NOW?" myla screamed at her. Sadie and Day sat in silence, Kylie sighed. "look, myla, I dont know why you would start to lie now. all I'm saying is that it sounds like something that would be made up, it just doesnt make sense." the four of them sat in silence for a few minuets, they all hoped that one of them would break the silence. none of them did.

Sadie look at Kylie, then at myla. "why dont you try to explain what you're seeing and hearing, myla? maybe then we can start to try to believe you." sadie said to myla hoping that she myla will understand. "fine," myla responded to Sadie. she looked around at her friends. she began to explain but they all gave her a look of distrust and disgust. "so yea, will you believe me now?" myla asked the other three as they all looked around the room, "no, sorry" they all said. "fine.. I guess no one believes me.." she said holding back tears. "c'mon myla, dont cry over a lie you created." Sadie said to her. they all left Myla's house and went back to their own. myla cried all night knowing that f her best friends couldn't believe her, no one ever will.

the voices kept her up all night, she was to afraid to sleep. by six in the morning she had to get up for school, she tried to get a few minuets of sleep but couldn't. by the time she was ready to go the bus had just arrived. myla met up with Kylie, Sadie, and Day. she knew that she should have dropped them but she had no other friends and she didn't want to be alone. "hey guys..." she said in a soft, tired voice "are you okay? you dont seem good." Day asked myla, "yea, I just couldn't sleep last night." she said back. Kylie and Sadie scoffed "are you really still trying t keep this lie up?" Sadie asked. the bus stopped in the school parking lot with a loud screech. "I dont think myla is lying..." Day said to both of them, "I read about what myla was talking about last night because I too couldn't fall asleep, as it turns out lots of people have the same problem-" she was cut off by Kylie "yeah the same lying problem." Kylie let out a small laugh. "uhm... no lots of people see and hear things that arnt actually there. its a real problem, I know it was hard to believe when she first talked about it but we have to believe her." the four of them got off of the bus and went inside. myla grabbed day's shoulder "thank you so much for believing me." she said to day, happy that she could trust someone that believes her. "its no problem, myla, anything for a friend." the walked into their homeroom.

They all had the same classes that day. in history, the period before lunch, they had a test. the test was on world war 1, myla has a hard time studying so she never does, even though she does this she still has good grades but this test was all from the study guide. "crap why didn't I study?" she though. day saw the look of fear on mylas face and slipped her a note. myla read it "r u okay?" it read. myla ignored it until the end of the test. on the multiple choice questions she guess on most of them, luckily a few of the questions that were on the study guide were ones that they went over multiple times during class. when the test ended the four of them met up in the back of the classroom. "did you get the note?" day asked "yeah I did I'm okay I just didn't study." Sadie lead the group to their homeroom to go to lunch, "lets go guys, our class is already gone." they all race-walked down the hallways to find their class.

by the time that they got to the cafeteria they sat down in the spot they normally sit in. "okay so, what is the plan for Friday and Saturday? we leave with mylas mom after school on Friday, right?" Kylie asked the group. "yeah thats the plan" myla said, she was scared because having a sleepover at her house other than just coming over to hang out will take the others find out about what she does when she's alone. "lets just hope the day goes quick" Sadie said letting out a small giggle after she said that. "yeah, lets just hope." Kylie said "what should we do at your house?" she asked. "I dont know, we will decide when we get there I guess." myla responded with a tone of anger and frustration. "myla, are you sure you're okay? I'm worried about you." day asked with concern. "I'm going to be okay, dont worry about me." myla responded. "well I think that we should plan for the night, like snacks and games. I have some horror games in mind." Kylie said to the group trying to lighten the mood. "what do you have in mind?" asked day "red door yellow door, light as a feather stiff as a board, you know; stuff like that" Kylie looked proud of herself as if she had come up with those games herself. the lunch bell rang and they went back to class.

When the day ended they went to the bus, went to their seats, and started to talk. "what homework do we have tonight?" Sadie asked. "uhm I think we only have math and science homework tonight." Kylie said back. the four of them stayed quiet for a little while until myla looked over to day and caught day looking at her, when myla caught day looking at her she looked away quickly and looked out of the window; and blushing.

myla got home and started her homework, she hadn't heard the voices all day. she didn't know how but she was happy about it. she finished her homework quicker than she normally would; there were only a few questions on each assignment. she got up to go to the bathroom and saw that she had left her phone on the desk at the top of the stairs. "crap, did someone. go through it?" she thought, she grabbed her phone and got to the bathroom. when she walked back to her room she received a text from Sadie "heyyyyyyyyy have u finished the homework yet?" ir read. she began to type back "yeah I finished a few minuets ago" is what she sent. "okay cool same, I might go to bed soon tho" is what Sadie sent back "really? but its only 6 pm!" she sent "yeah i know, but I'm tired" Sadie sent back. "how are you more tired than me lol? you got a full nights sleep" myla sent. "but I'm just tired, you know that feeling right?",myla did know that feeling, "lol yeah get your sleep, ill see u tomorrow I guess" myla said hoping that she didn't take to long to respond but just as she was thinking about it she heard her phone go off with a loud ding "lol see you tomorrow, bye" myla let out a sigh of relief "bye" that was the last text that she got that night.

Myla tried to go to bed but she knew that if the voices hadn't bothered her all day, they would come for her during the night. when she was half asleep she heard them, threatening her, making her loose her mind. "p-please leave me alone. what did I ever do to you?" she asked quietly to the things that only she could see. "why should I?" it asked her. myla didn't know what  to do, even though she had been through this many times before. "this has gone on for way too long. please leave me alone I just want to be able to have friends who can trust me..." she said to it, knowing that it might never change. "Your 'friends' will never believe you, you're making this too hard to believe." it never seemed to give up, never seemed to give her a moment of rest. "LEAVE ME ALONE, I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!" myla said to the thing, this goes on every time the thing comes. myla wants to make it stop, she would do anything to get it to stop. "I wont stop until I am satisfied." it said back to her. she tried to ignore it; she tried as hard as she could and she fell asleep. she finally found out how to ignore it, she knew how to finally be able to be able to get through the day mostly in peace.
