——After the Malfoy's apparated away——

"Ronald?? what the hell did Malfoy mean? what did you do? I swear, you better fess up right now." Ginny hissed at his brother. As she stared daggers at him, Harry Potter put a hand on his wife's shoulder to calm her down. "Ron. Please."

Ronald Weasley scoffed and retaliated, "What? You believe a damn Slytherin Malfoy over your own brother and best friend??? UN- FUCKING- BELIEVABLE" With that, he threw his glass of champagne on the ground and angrily stormed away.

The Potters glanced at each other in exasperation. Of course. Ron never changed. Despite Ron being partly right, there was a hint, just a little hint of sincerity in Malfoy's voice while defending his wife. It was hard to believe but it could hardly be mistaken for a lie.

——Time skip to after the reunion——

The Potters relayed the happenings of the reunion to the feisty Molly Weasley, with Arthur Weasley close by listening. "Impossible. My Ronald would never do anything at all. That Granger or Malfoy girl is just spouting bullshit." Just like that, the conversation ended with Harry Potter sighing exasperatedly with all the drama.

"Harry... It's been 10 years... i feel so tempted to believe Mom and Ronald but it's so hard to believe that Hermione really... you know? 10 years." Ginny sighed as memories from the past flowed back into her head. Goody-Two-Shoes Hermione Granger was just not the person to cheat. She was just... not. Ginny put her head in her hands. She regretted her actions so much. Harry Potter glanced at his wife and nodded in agreement. Just then, he smirked slyly. Ginny was taken aback. "If you really wanna know, let's pay a visit to an old friend"

——Time skip ——

Ding dong~ The sound of the doorbell reverberated through the majestic abode. A well-dressed house elf greeted them. "Hello. I'm Tippy, The Malfoy's family house elf. Who are you looking for?" The Potters was shocked! Malfoy? Letting a house elf wear decent clothes? This had Hermione written all over. "Draco Malfoy" They answered. Tippy nodded and ushered them to the expansive and elegant sitting room. Despite being a Malfoy home, the sitting room seemed extremely refined instead of it having the feeling of frigidity.

"I will go inform the young master of the visitors. Make yourselves comfortable, Mister and Missus" With that, Tippy bowed and apparated away with a 'pop' sound. After a while, a tall and buff man appeared in front of the Potters. It was Draco Malfoy, all right. The same air of superiority and confidence, the same old blonde hair and the powerful stance he took when he was getting down to business. "Potters."

"Malfoy. We've been waiting to talk to you." Draco's eyebrows lifted for a split second before he sat down in an armchair in front of them. "Go on then. If it's Hermione you are looking for, she's not here right now." Harry and Ginny Potter shook their heads vigorously. "NO! We... wanted to talk to you. About what happens between Ron and Hermione." Draco Malfoy frowned and replied coldly, "That's not my story to tell. Besides, why don't you ask Hermione instead, instead of this Slytherin" Ginny quickly spoke up.

"PLEASE. We want to know the truth. Ron won't tell us anything and we are afraid that Hermione would not welcome us asking personal questions like that. If Ron did something, we could punish him for it. Also, we have grown up and I hope that we can discuss like matured adults properly." Draco seemed to consider that for a brief moment before putting his hands together, deep in thought. After scrutinising them for a good 1 minute, he finally agreed.

"Alright. Fine. I assume you want to know what actually happened that day. After Hermione came back from Diagon Alley, she found Ron and Lavender naked together. Naturally, she knew what was going on and they had a huge fight. Hermione broke up with Ron and left with all her stuff." Draco's eyes misted over for a brief moment as he remembered that fateful day where he met the love of his life. "That's when I met her for the first time in 2 years after the war- crying and vulnerable."

Harry and Ginny Potter was staring at Draco with their mouths open like goldfishes. Of course Ron cheated! How could they not have picked up the signs? It was blatantly obvious, staring at them right in the face! Ron and Lavender had almost immediately gotten together after the breakup, and before that, they were being way too touchy for Ginny's liking.

The Potters went on a tyrant of swear words and curses as Draco Malfoy just sat, unfazed, in front of them. "Now that you know, can you kindly get out of my house. The only reason I told you this was to save my wife of reliving her heartbreak and trauma again. I'm pretty sure Hermione would not like me talking to you if she saw us right now."

"Of course not." a gentle voice said. All three of them turned their heads almost instantaneously. There she was. Hermione Jane Granger (or Malfoy). The war hero. Their best friend and wife.

Standing at the top of the stairs was Hermione, was different than what she looked like 10 years ago. Her eyes sparkled in the sunlight and her elegant physique showed a true woman who knows her worth. Narcissa Malfoy taught her well. Sophisticated. Charismatic. Beautiful. Her hair rippled with every step she took as she descended the staircase. Just then, she said, "Draco's right. I would be mad. But that's the old Hermione, this Hermione has matured and hopes that we can resolve this peacefully after 10 years. The fact that all of you doubted me and regarded me in such a harsh manner is immensely disappointing."

With that, Hermione stuck out her hand for a handshake, as a truce, well... temporarily.

——Time skip——

When Harry and Ginny arrived home, it was already dinner time. They found the whole family of Weasleys and Lavender sitting together at the dining table. "What's the special occasion?"

All of them swivelled their heads in the direction of the fireplace where the Potters flooed home from. "Lavender is pregnant!! We are having a baby!" The Potters stood frozen, appalled at what they just heard. This was the perfect time to get their revenge of causing the rift between the best friends.

"Congrats Ron, Lavender! Let's make a toast! I'll go first." With a fake smile on his face, Harry Potter raised his glass of champagne. "Cheers to Lavender and Ron for being new parents and a fucking terrible best friend and fiancé! Cheating on Hermione to be with Lavender? This is so you, Ron!" The dripping sarcasm could be sensed from a mile away.

The entire family was frozen, like they had been just struck by lightning. "Is... is this true Ron?" Charlie Weasley asked. Just then, the entire family started to question what Ron had been telling them for the past 10 years. "I KNEW IT! Hermione would never ever cheat! It was so difficult to believe at first!" The twins chimed in in unison. Ron was livid. "WHAT THE FUCK HARRY? WHATS WRONG WITH YOU? SO WHAT IF I CHEATED? HERMIONE WAS SUCH A STUCK UP AND BOSSY BITCH WITH NO LIFE AT ALL! ALL SHE DID WAS READ BOOKS AND NEVER DRESS UP EVER. HORRIBLE TASTE PLUS BORING- OF COURSE I WOULD CHEAT. YOU STUPID BASTARD"

That's when Ginny saw red. Ron insulting her husband was the last straw. "HOW DARE YOU, RON?? You are in the wrong and you still dare to fire back at us?? The audacity you have is absolutely INFURIATING!" Ron slapped his sister in rage, causing her to fall on the floor. That was it. Molly Weasley got up and slapped Ron, hard. She twisted and dragged him and Lavender by the ear to the door, but not before kicking him in the stomach. "Ronald Bilius Weasley. I am so disappointed in you. You even dare to cheat, slap your sister, cause us to hate Hermione all these years and still NOT CARE???? You disgust me. I'm disowning you and your whore of a wife. From now on, you are no longer a Weasley. NEVER COME BACK HERE!" With that, she slammed the door in his face and cast a spell to not allow them into the house. Chest heaving and tears running down her cheeks, Molly Weasley crumpled to the ground in devastation. Everything had hit her so hard.

The entire Weasley family comforted Molly to the best of their ability. Ron's actions from 10 years ago impacted them till it is indescribable in words. Maybe now, it's time to start afresh with burdens from the past off their chest. But maybe not for Ron... everything else is his responsibility now. One thing that will always be etched in their mind is that the ability to forgive and forget should not be taken for granted. However, maybe one day, just one day when they are all old, the Golden Trio will be able to make amends.
