"WHOOHOO..! FINALLY!" Mina soars out of the Celestial Council Hall as she brushed past a few angels which causes them to shout at her in anger.
"Watch it!"
"Ever learned how to fly?!"
"Dang it, you made me drop my favorite bow!"
"Babe, how many times do I have to tell you when you get too excited while flying?" Kirishima shouts in a lectured tone, "You need to be careful!"
"It's fine babe! I'm just happy!"
"Welp, that thing is your girlfriend." Monoma held a smug smile, "At least my Y/n can keep her composure even when she's a little excited."
"Monoma, please." You lightly nudged him and mouthed the words, 'Stop..'
He clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes, "Oh come on, I didn't say anything bad. I'm only telling the truth. After all, I'm just glad that my type isn't someone who's loud and unlady like."
"Monoma." You said sternly.
"It's alright Y/n." A hand tapped softly on your shoulder, "Besides, I like Mina's enthusiasm." The red headed angel smiles as he watches his girlfriend fly, "It's how she makes my day. So I don't need other opinions to bring down what I already think."
You admire his positive attitude. But even you can admit that Monoma needs to be mindful of what he says about your friends. Especially when commenting about someone's relationship. It isn't right to get into their business and you're very respectful of that. It still surprises you that your friend didn't lose his cool by the way your partner was speaking about Mina. But everyone has already dealt and gotten used to his behavior, so they don't give him the satisfaction of their reaction.
"Come on, babe..! Let's go!" Mina flies back and wraps her arm around her lover's, "I'd promise Momo that we'd be with her to get our scrolls done after the meeting was done."
"Oh, right! I totally forgot about that!" He turns towards you and says, "I gotta go. Mina and I are supposed to meet up with Momo for some help on our scrolls! I'll see you guys later!"
"Babe!"
"Ow! Okay, okay! Easy on the wings!"
"Make sure you both study hard!" You waved them goodbye with a small laugh as they both flew off.
Once they were gone, your boyfriend then spoke in a low tone, "..You know you shouldn't be wasting your time with them."
A heavy feeling was forming in your stomach. This sort of language when everyone is gone is the behavior you know all too well. It made you ache as the mixture of guilt and anger was stirring up inside. But you didn't want to lash out on him or do anything that you'd might regret saying. You were just patching things up with the person you care about and you didn't want to ruin it. This was an opportunity to come to a change in your relationship and move forward together as one.
