All he can remember was the blood.
There was so much of it, too. Not puddles, or buckets... Hell, fountains wouldn't be enough to describe all of the blood Izuku Midoriya saw that day. The accurate terminology of it all would've been oceans.
Yeah, that's right, oceans.
Izuku crawled over to the bodies of those he once called his parents. It was pain getting to them. Like there were chains on his wrists, neck, and every muscle and joint on his body trying to prevent him from moving, but Izuku was always a strong one. He kept moving despite all of the physical and emotional pain it caused him. The scars and broken bones on his body ached and screamed at him as he crawled to the only family he had.
He did his best to ignore the snickering of the villain in the background. So powerful. Not even his Dad's fire breathing could stop it. After that realization, there was no defense against him. The Villain beat his Dad to a bloody pulp before moving on to his Mom. She stood no chance after her husband was within an inch of death. Izuku came after both his parents, frozen in fear, he did nothing to combat the absolute beating he got from the Bugler.
Soon enough, Izuku climbed his way towards his mother's body. He reached out and grabbed her hand. There was still warmth, but it was fading away faster by the second. He squeezed her hand, hoping for some kind of response. He felt her squeeze back and he began crying, the tears mixing with the blood as it all rand down his face and onto the floor. Through his clouded vision, he saw his mother look over to him. Her head was gashed open and blood covered her forehead. Her green eyes were glazed over, but still held light in them, like she was not dead or alive, but in some dark in-between of those two forms of existence. He pulled himself closer to her until he was side by side to his mother.
Not knowing what else to do, he snuggled himself up to her, hoping for this all to be one horrible nightmare that he'll wake up from soon. He'll wake up next to his All Might action figure, run out of his room in his All Might pajamas, and eat pancakes with his mother and father, laughing at Izuku's antics before going to the park to meet up with his best friend, Katsuki Bakugo and play Heroes and Villains with him.
Izuku smiled a little at the idea. He could've been a hero just like All Might, even without a quirk.
SMASH
There was a metallic sound crashing against something before a gooey, mushy sound followed after it. Izuku found it in himself to lift his head up to see what happened.
He wished he didn't.
What he saw was the Villain's bat lifting from his father's head. His father, once a handsome, bright, and funny Man, was now no more than a bloodied up corpse with a face almost too beat up to recognize. The upper half of his face was caved in from the force brought down on him by the bat. Izuku then saw the Villain slowly making his way over to him and his mother.
Izuku, not knowing what to do, buried his face into his mother, hoping this nightmare would end and everything will go back to normal. He felt another squeeze in his hand and he looked up at his mother.
She had this look in her eye. One that said she knew what would happen to her. She also looked a lot more alive than when Izuku previously looked at her eyes. His mother squeezed his hand even harder, a sign she wanted to get a point across.
"I... I-I-Izu... ku" She took a deep breathe, a couple actually, as she was fighting to stay conscious. Once she had the energy to talk again, she took another deep breathe.
SMASH
But it was already too late.
Izuku was unable to avert his eyes when his mother's skull was smashed into her brain. The gore from the sudden action splashed all over the lonely Midoriya. Her right eye was smashed in with the rest of her face, remaining unseen, but her left eye remained, a single tear drop falling from it, crashing onto the ground, soon to cease from existence, just like his mother and father already have. Izuku looked up to the Villain, his bat dripping with the mixed blood and brains of both of Izuku's parents. Izuku gladly awaited death, ready for its cold hands to rip his soul right out of his body as he takes him... well, he doesn't know. Wherever his parent's were would be a natural guess, so the three of them can be together forever. Where "forever" would be didn't matter much to him, he just didn't want to feel like that one time when his tooth got knocked out of him. The blood and pain from the experience and having it taken out too early, but afterwards, feeling his tongue easily able to slip through the crack in his jaw. Like something was always meant to be there, but couldn't.
But there's a difference between this time and that: there would be no other tooth to replace the two he just lost. Unless he died now, he would have to live with the constant slipping of his tongue between these new holes of his teeth.
However, fate had other plans for Izuku Midoriya. Torturous plans.
The Villain dropped the bat on the ground, creating a loud bang as it hit the floor. Izuku looked up and saw the Villain talk into an earpiece of some sort. He would always see his mother wearing one of those while talking to a-... There it is, the slipping of his tongue.
Why didn't the Villain kill him?
The Villain eventually nodded as he removed his hand from his ear and maneuvered himself to see Izuku better. The Villain heartlessly ripped Izuku away from the corpse of his mother. He tried his best to hold on, but the pain that shot through his body was stronger than his will this time. The Villain dragged him away from the corpses of his parents before letting Izuku go. Izuku cringed in pain and saw the blood trail in front of him. Soon though, the Villain's boot covered his vision. Izuku looked up to see the hooded figure. He wore all black clothing and wore dark gray leather gloves.
"Sorry, kid." The Villain nonchalantly said, as if he didn't just kill an entire family. The Villain then raised his boot and kicked Izuku right in the face. In that instant, Izuku only saw one final detail and heard one final sentence before he blacked out.
The sentence he heard was: "Just following orders."
While the last thing he saw was sapphire blue eyes, capable of piercing into anyone's skull.
Izuku remembered nothing after that. In fact, Izuku never remembered hearing his name after that night.
