Raven Lockwell

My foot bounced and my nails picked at the skin on my hand. Why is the world moving so slow! Time feels like it's going a million times slower than it was earlier, when Bella wasn't being arrested, and when it felt like the time we had slipped from right under our feet.

Time, you backstabbing bitch

I pulled out my phone again and looked at Bella's location, but I've explored the city enough to know that the road she's on isn't going to the police station.

I remember seeing the police station here in Newport, and I remember how often I'd see police cars speed out, then other police cars driving back into the station.

'Bella, you're not even headed to the police station' I texted right when the bell rang

'We're on our way Bella, hang tight' I texted again and slid my phone into my pocket, then quickly shoved my stuff into my backpack and went out the classroom door, then out the school door at the end of the hallway.

The air was still warm, but clouds covered the sky now, after about two hours had passed I hadn't noticed a single thing because I don't have any window seats on A days.

Lukas and I got to the car and didn't have to wait long for Trent to come running out.

Trent unlocked all the doors remotely, so I got into the passenger seat of the white truck, Luke and Trent following close behind

Trent drove, and I gave him directions, but other than that, the drive was quiet, all of us not knowing what to say while everything is going on around us.

"What the hell is going on here?" I bashed through the doors of the station, yelling my lungs out "Why the hell is Bella behind bars, there's no way she did anything!"

My eyes were scanning across the station, until I saw our friend, staring at us like she'd seen a ghost.

I ran over to her then Luke and Trent followed.

"Don't worry Bella, we're gonna get you out of here" Trent said to her

"Excuse me kids, you're not supposed to be here. I looked over and saw a short plump white man in uniform standing next to Bella's cell of lies

"Why, so you can torture our innocent friend?" I snapped at him

"No ma'am, she's here as a suspect for robbery"

"Bella would never do such a thing, so case closed" I looked over at Bella, thinking that she'd be agreeing with me, standing and fighting, but her soulless husk just sat there, hunched over like a banana peel sitting there, left by the people who took her soul

"C'mon Bella, you know this isn't right, you gotta explain that you didn't do anything" I said, but she didn't move, not even her eyes

"I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do because of her actions." That son of a bitch sat there shaking his head

"Bullshit. You're just using your power to put this innocent person in jail, you pig!" Trent shouted. We all looked at him, even the torn Bella because we have never heard Trent yell, or swear for that matter, not until now.

"Aren't you going to say something Bella?" Trent asked

"I'm not saying anything because he's right" Her soft voice quivered, and I could hear all three of his friends' hearts rupture. She must've heard them too, because this is the first time we've seen her cry

"H-how could you?" Luke said in disbelief. "We trusted you"

Belladonna just shook her head "I had nowhere else to go" Bella mumbled
