"Wow Rebecca you're really good at singing" "Thanks Stephanie" I look over at Hunter and I realize that Hunter, Colby, Dustin, and Roux are all completely asleep "umm Stephanie look at what I just did Hunter is completely asleep along with Colby Roux and Dustin" "oh wow that's awesome" "I didn't expect to sing Hunter to sleep" "I know that's the first time I've seen him fall asleep that fast" A few hours later
We're about to land and Rebecca Dustin Roux Hunter and Stephanie are all asleep but I don't want Roux to get scared when we land so I gently wake her up "Roux bear it's time to wake up love bug we're about to land" "Okay dada I love you" "I love you too baby girl" I look out the window and I can tell we're going to land within 15 minutes so I decide to wake Rebecca up so she can comfort Dustin since he's probably going to get freaked out when we land "Rebecca babe wake up we're going to be landing soon" "Okay Colby I'm up should we wake up Stephanie and Hunter?" "I think so"  "I have an idea why don't we let Roux wake them up" "good idea they can't get mad at her" "Hey Roux bear do you want to wake Stephanie and Hunter up?" "Sure daddy" I put her down and she goes over to Stephanie and she climbs into her lap which wakes Stephanie up "Hey Stephanie we're about to land and I wasn't sure if you would've gotten mad if Rebecca or I would've woken you up so we had Roux do it" "Okay I'll wake Hunter up" "Okay" "Hey honey it's time to wake up we're about to land" Hunter wakes up "are we about to land?" "Yeah we're about to land so we figured that we should wake you up instead of getting woken up by the plane landing" "Hey Colby do you know where the Moby wrap is so I can wear Dustin?" "I put it in my carry on do you want me to get it out?" "Please I think if I'm wearing Dustin when we land he won't get scared" "Okay I'll get it right now" "Okay thanks babe" Colby gets the Moby wrap out of his carry on and helps me put it on and then he helps me get Dustin into it "Hey Roux bear come here please" "Okay mumma I here" "come sit next to me" "Okay" Roux comes over to me and sits next to me I take her hand and we land and like I expected Roux got scared because she didn't know what was happening and she started crying "Roux bear it's okay we just landed I know it was a little scary but we're okay I'm right here" Colby is sitting on the other side of Roux and he picks her up and holds her and rubs her back and the back of her head "Rebecca do you need help with the dogs or anything?" Stephanie asked me "that would be great if you could help with the dogs and Darrel" "Of course I mean you have your hands full with Roux and Dustin" "Yeah that's for sure" we get up and start getting off the plane and because Roux was crying Colby carried her to the car and then he went back to help Hunter with our luggage so he gets some of the suitcases out of the plane and puts them in the back of the car while I had Dustin on me so I sat in the back of the car next to Roux who was sitting in her car seat I started to talk to Roux to try to calm her down "Hey Roux bear it's okay you don't have to cry I know it was a little scary when we landed but we're okay do you want a hug to make you feel better" "Yeah I wanna hug mumma I sleepy and hungry" "I know bear I'm sleepy and hungry too" I lean over and give Roux a hug as best I could since I'm wearing Dustin "mumma do you have any snackies?" "I don't have any snacks Roux but I'm sure when we get to Ms. Stephanie and Mr. Hunter's house they'll have some snacks for you to eat I know you're hungry so am I" Stephanie gets in the car with the dogs and Darrel "hey Stephanie Roux is hungry do you have any snacks at your house that Roux can have when we get there she hasn't eaten since before Shayna called and that was around 11:30 this morning" "Yeah we have snacks at our house but why don't we stop at McDonald's or something to get food" "that would be great thank you so much Stephanie I also haven't eaten since breakfast so I know how hungry Roux is and I'm surprised that Roux isn't hangry" " I'll tell hunter that we have to stop at McDonald's to get food for y'all" Colby and Hunter get in the car "Hunter we have to stop at McDonald's Roux and Rebecca haven't eaten since before noon today and they are hungry" "how is Roux not having a tantrum" "she never really has tantrums I think it's because she just knows how to communicate what she wants and needs really well and she knows that if she gets loud she might wake Dustin up and he'll cry and she hates when he cries and whenever he cries she tries to get him to stop crying" "awe she's the best big sister ever" "Yeah she really is" "we're almost to McDonald's does Roux want chicken nuggets?" "Yeah she loves chicken nuggets" "should I get her a kids meal it comes with fries a toy and apple slices and chicken nuggets?" "Yeah get the kids meal and she can have the 6 piece since she hasn't eaten since early today and she deserves to be spoiled she's such a little angel" Hunter orders the kids meal and for the drink she got apple juice before I give her the food I let the nuggets and fries cool off a tiny bit because I don't want her to burn her little fingers or mouth and once they're cooled off enough I give her the food and as soon as she got the food she ate every single nugget and every single fry so she was HUNGRY "Roux bear say thank you to Hunter and Stephanie for getting you food" "tank you for getting food for me my tummy is happy now" "awe sweet girl you're welcome for the food now who's ready to go to sleep?" We pull up to Stephanie and Hunter's house and it's absolutely gorgeous so we get out of the car and by now Roux is fast asleep in Colby's arms and I'm still wearing Dustin so we walk into the house and Colby gently lays Roux on the couch for the time being while him Hunter and Stephanie all go out and get our bags and the dogs and Darrel and bring everything inside. Once we got everything inside Stephanie said that we can let the dogs out of the crate and let Darrel out so we did. "Stephanie where can Roux sleep?" "I was actually just about to ask you if it's okay for Roux to share a room with our oldest daughter?" "Yeah it's okay I just hope Roux doesn't keep her awake" "I'm sure it'll be alright Hunter and I already told our girls that you were coming and they were so happy" "are your girls already asleep?" "I'm not really sure about our oldest but I know our middle and youngest are both asleep" "I just don't want to wake your daughters up" "it's really okay" "I really appreciate this" "of course do you want to bring Roux to bed right now?" "Yeah but first I'm going to give Dustin over to Colby" "Okay" I go into the living room and see Colby holding Roux who is still completely asleep so I walk over to him and whisper in his ear "Can you please take Dustin and I'll take Roux Stephanie is letting Roux sleep in her daughters' room" he nods and carefully lays Roux down on the couch and then he helps me get Dustin out of the sling and then he helps me take the sling off and he holds Dustin close to his chest and I carefully pick up Roux and carry her over to Stephanie and we start walking to her daughters room when we get there Stephanie's daughter is awake so when we open the door she turns around and sees us "Hey Aurora this is Becca and her daughter Roux I told you about earlier where can she sleep?" "Is it okay if she shares my bed Becca?" "I'm fine with it as long as you are" "I'm good sharing my bed with her and my bed is probably the safest because it's up against the wall so she won't fall out of the bed" "You are so awesome Aurora just wondering what were you working on at your desk?" "I'm just doodling" "cool well if Roux wakes up and starts crying don't be shy to come find either me or my husband Colby" "Okay" I gently lay Roux down in the bed close to the wall and tuck her in and give her a kiss on her head and then Stephanie and I go back to the living room and see Colby holding Dustin who is completely asleep "Stephanie where can Colby and I sleep?" "I'll show you since our house is so big" she walks us upstairs and down a long hallway to a room and we open the door and it's such a nice room Colby and I look at each other and then at Stephanie "is this your room??" "Nope but it's around the same size" "wow this is awesome" Colby and I walk around the room and in the far corner of the room I see a bassinet for Dustin "Stephanie this room is so nice did you go buy this bassinet just for Dustin" "no we just kept it from when we had Vaughn" "Oh okay" "do you need help with anything?" "Not right now but thanks for asking" "no problem I'll let you two relax" "Okay we'll see you later" "Okay" Stephanie leaves and Colby and I look at each other and we know what each other are thinking and we're thinking the same thing "let's go to bed" "deal but first I have a feeling that little man is going to start crying soon and will probably need a diaper change so can you please do me a favor and get the diapers out and the wipes too?" "Of course honey" Colby goes into the bags and finds the diapers and wipes and then I walk into the bathroom that's connected to our room and see that there's a changing mat on the counter so I gently lay Dustin on the mat and take off his onesie and right before I open the diaper I hear Dustin fart and it's a wet fart so I know that he just pooped and right after he pooped he just looked at me and smiled "well at least I was about to change your diaper anyway baby boy" I tell him in baby talk so I open his diaper and sure enough he pooped but thankfully it wasn't a blow out so it was easier to deal with so I gently pick his legs up and pull the diaper out from under him and then I wipe him clean and put a new diaper on him and when I finish changing him he lets out the biggest yawn I've ever seen and I pick him up and carry him into the bedroom and I sit down in the bed next to Colby and feed Dustin but instead of me singing to him I just watch him and while he's eating he looks up at me and closes his eyes and nuzzles his head closer to me and I can feel him fall asleep so once he's finished eating I gently burp him and lay him down in the bassinet which Colby moved closer to the bed but right before I laid him down I gave him a kiss on the top of his head and then I get in bed and cuddle with Colby and fall asleep
