─"YOU'RE GONNA SAY YES TO THE BUSINESS PROPOSAL?" yachi found herself looking at you in a state of extreme confusion and shock.
"uh yeah it's been on my mind a lot recently i thought that maybe it could be beneficial possibly and i was just a little bit curious to be completely honest." you sighed reluctantly.
"did he like blackmail or seduce you?" yachi asked while still in her state of disarray.
"no he definitely did not do any of that yachi." you laughed for what felt like the first time in days.
"then what- why are you doing this then (y/n)." yachi asked in defeat.
"you're my best friend right yachi?" you ask sincerely.
"well of course (y/n) what's up?" yachi finally sits down across from you.
you send her a grateful smile and reach your hands over your desk to hold yachi's.
"ugh i don't know yachi i just feel like kinda bored mean like I've been in this rivalry for kenma for so long and then i don't know i had this mental breakdown about like highschool and stuff and how he was so weird and we thought he hated me and you know i was thinking like what if this rivalry started way before we both had our own companies and i don't know i'm curious as to like why this is all happening and i just want answers dude i don't like it when things eat up with me like this." you let out in one breath.
"woah ok that's a lot." yachi breathed out. you send her a shy nod expecting her to leave or laugh at how ridiculous you felt you were being now.
"it sounds like you've had a lot of stuff on your mind (y/n) i can't believe you didn't tell me earlier i knew something was up from how you've been acting lately but i was kind of waiting for you to open up to me first but now i'm wishing i pestered you just a little bit more." yachi chuckled to herself making you laugh along with her.
"so what should i do." you send yachi a lopsided grin.
"you should take his business proposal i'm sorry for overreacting earlier i was just shocked at first but i think you should go for it see what mr. kodzuken is all about." yachi agreed with your later statement.
both of you sent each other a soft smile making all of the week's past troubles all melt away.
"you are my platonic soulmate i am literally so in love with you." you sigh dramatically. "but i'll back off don't want kiyoko all up on my case." you laugh at your own joke.
yachi rolls her eyes and sends you a grin "i love you too (y/n)." she says with a sigh.
"ok enough girl talk now that we have my situation under control we should both get back to work." you say while letting go of yachi's hands and straightening up your posture.
"back to girl bossing!" you exclaim together.
