He sat down at the bed, staring at the open window as he hugged himself.

His gaze shifted to the bathroom door, and the mirror peeking from behind the wall as he stared.

"Mmn.. You ready for bed?" His lover peered from outside their room, smiling softly at him. "Almost." He stood up, heading to the bathroom as he removed his glasses and signature coat. "How was your day?" Viros hummed, falling onto their bed as he awaited their response. "Normal, nothing good, nothing bad." He placed the coat and glasses aside, turning on the faucet for warm water and carefully splashing his face, now turning off the faucet he grabbed a towel and dried off his face.

He looked up to the mirror, sighing softly as he began to space out. "Tex-y? What's wrong?" Viros got off the bed, walking into the bathroom with concern written all over his face.

"..am I really-" He huffed, trying to word the sentence in a way that would make sense. "Take your time." His lover gently held his hand, squeezing it softly. "Am I real?" He looked over to Viros with a puzzled, yet sad look. "What do you mean? Of course you're real, why would I be holding your hand, or kissing you if you weren't?" He squinted, turning back to the mirror. "No- no not that way,  do you think you could genuinely call me- a 'person'?" He moved his hand away from Viros' and held his own head, staring at himself with pure frustration. "Well, obviously, you can talk, think, and do so much more that tells me you're a real, living person."

Tex huffed, clearly getting more frustrated. "No- no you don't get it." He stared down at Viros, trying his best not to seem angry at his small lover. "I'm artificial- I- I shouldn't even be existing, instead here I am, some breathing organism who's managed to survive with the help of other people." Viros simply pouted, pulling Tex back to look at him. "I.. don't exactly understand, but what I do know is that you are a real, living person, just like everyone else." Tex just stared. "You deserve love, and attention, and everything positive, just like anyone else would." Viros smiled.

"..thank you, babe."

"Anytime, now let's get you to bed, and don't be scared to tell me anything else, okay?"

"Okay."

[author's note]

I know it's short, but it's one of those ones where I don't wanna add much, it's good how it is.
