A Tall Tale Too Many

Wouldn't you be blue

If you only knew

Cinderella's tale wasn't true

What would you do?

Its odd that the slipper

Had perfectly fit her.

What if she had a blister?

Or it had fit her sister?

Wasn't it just heaven

That her shoe size was seven.

Would he still be lovin,

If the shoe had fit his cousin?

Who would have cried,

Or who would have sighed,

Knowing he hadn't tried

Even worse if he lied.

What if the prince was vain

And stayed home because of the rain

Would she die of pain?

Could you love the story the same?

I bet you would just hate

If forever she did wait.

That this was real fate

Never to find a mate.
