Beth's life wasn't affected very much after the incident. She never told anyone of what she had done. She was going to. But then she saw the news, so she kept quite. She knew now what she had done was very wrong.

Nor did she believe what the news of anyone else had to say. She couldn't. She wouldn't be the reason someone died. It was a harmless joke, well meant to be. And she roped some other kid into it.

How awful she felt. She stayed up at night thinking about how. How could she fix her mistake?

Tell someone? No no, why would she do that?
They'd take her away, or even worse ask her more about it. Fine the reason why and how. Then the place would also get shut down because of it.

No, they wouldn't do that would they?

"I need to tell someone" she mumbled. As of now, she was sat in the back of her mom's car, on her way to the place. She wanted to go see Sunny. She somehow felt the need to see her. Sunny felt familiar, it was scary.

Non the less one they were in, she ran straight to Sunny's room. She never liked the fox animatronic. But it was such a strong urge to see them and tell them everything. To apologise?..

After waiting for all kids to leave she began pouring out everything to this machine. Why was she doing this? She didn't understand it. It was like she had too or something would get worse.

"I know I shouldn't have done it

It was meant to be a harmless joke

She surely didn't die right, she's just missing. She ran away??

I'm sorry Itzy.."

Beth was sobbing at the feet of Sunny.

Itzy watched, eyes wide in shock. She was surprised that she was sorry. She thought Beth hated her. Turns out she was just jealous everyone liked her.

After minutes of sobbing on the floor, she stood up and wrapped her arms around the giant machine fox. She stood and hugged Sunny till she felt tired.

It was only 5 minutes later. She sat by Sunny's legs and leaned on them so she could sleep with a head rest.

Her mom came to find her after about an hour. Only to find her asleep by the fox. She was a surprise as her child had expressed much dislike for Sunny. Always how she felt too familiar and scary.

But now she was peacefully asleep.

Itzy watched over Beth, making sure she had no unwanted attention. She forgave Beth for what she did. After what she heard today, she understood it wasn't meant to end as it did.

Itzy wandered off to find a paper and pen. Writing and note and slipping it into Beth's jacket pocket. Unaware of how it might scare her.

Upon getting home and waking up.
Beth soon found the note and read it.

"To Beth

I forgive you"
I understand now that you never meant it to end like this. Thank you for apologising.

She was scared but not entirely suprised. After all, kids believe in ghosts. So she guessed that's what it was. Now she lives on, still regretting what she did. But in peace that she had been forgiven for what she did.
