You liked Kanae for a long time.
You wanted to confess to here so you decided to give her a gift and confess to here that way.
Y/n POV
Today's the day I give her it. I went to the butterfly mansion and found kanae. "H-hi kanae" I said nervously. "Oh, Hi" she replied with a cheery smile. "Here" I said as I gave her the gift before running off
Kanae POV
Y/n is so sweet I thought while open the box. Oh a note what does it say? "Dear, Kanae I've been wanting to tell you this for a while. I'm like you more than friends like like lovers. Please reply soon :) Love, Y/n". "Nee-San ! Time for our mission!" Shinobu said.

Time skip

Y/n POV
I woke up to my crow kiko
"Caw caw, Kanae Kocho has died to upper moon 2".
I gasped as I felt tears forming in my eyes.

At Kanae's funeral

Everyone was crying and so was I .
We all just lost someone important.
The next day I went to her grave prayed, left some flowers and whispered
"You never gave me a reply"
