CHAPTER 8

"Oh we all know who's very prideful around here. I don't even know why he bullies me. Is it because I'm easily bullied? Like I know I'm a closed-off person. I rarely talk in public."

"Introvert." She asked, and I nodded.

"And he's and extrovert. Very confident man." I told Sarah. Inabot ko rin yung orange juice na nilagay niya sa table and started drinking it.

"I smell a great breakfast!!!" Bellowed the greatest Russian accent I've always heard. Mr. Belyakov came strutting down to the kitchen and sat on his chair fit for a king.

Na surpresa kaming dalawa ni Sarah. Hindi ko alam na nandito pa pala and tatay ng mga bata. Lumingon ako kay Sarah at binigyan ko ng 'questionable look' pero she just shrugged.

" dobroye utro, Mr. Belyakov." I greeted the great man. Sana taman pagkasabi ko ng magandang umaga sa kanya.

"Same to you, my dear. And to you Sarah, thank you for preparing this breakfast." Mr. Belyakov has always been polite and it's one of the reasons why I look up to him. Napakabait na tao kapag nakilala mo ng husto and tinuturi niya kami ni Sarah na kaniyang anak. "Oh Kate, you still need practice with your accent but you got the greeting part correct. Next time I see you you better have basic conversation skills with a Russian accent. Alright?"

Nerbyosa na nga ako, pinataas pa niya pagkanerbyosa ko. I ended up nodding, and sipped on my juice.

"I can teach you a little bit of Russian, Kaitlyn. I am not very good at it, but I know a thing or two." Sarah offered.

"Yes, Sarah knows a little bit." He said before taking the first bite of his bread with peanut butter spread. Hinintay niyang maubos ang toast bago siya nag salita ulit. "In fact, when I met Sarah she was working with let's say, fellow Russians. I even thought she was Russian at first, but to my surprise she wasn't. That's when I had a talk with Dane and then he went and scooped up Sarah. Literally."

"What do you mean by scooped up 'literally', Sir? I thought it was you who took her away from those people? Well, according to Dash." Nagtanong ako sabay lingon kay Sarah at ayun, namumula na ang pisngi ng dalaga.

"I'll leave you girls to talk about it." He said with smug voice.

Kung tama ang hinala ko, pinag-aayos ni Mr. Belyakov sina Dane at Sarah. Obvious naman sa pag-sasalita niya. At ngayon, naalala ko na nung isang gabi nag host amo ko ng private party with his friends and Dane also invited his employees, he never even looked at any of those supermodel-looking assistants of his. Nakatingin lang siya sa mahinhin na babaeng nag-seserve ng tequila shots sa mga lasenggerong bisita. Bakit ngayon ko lang to namalayan? Sa bagay, I ship those two anyway.

"Sarah, why don't you ask Dane out?" I blurted out. And she literally ran to my side and covered my mouth to prevent me from speaking unnecessary things. She struggled and damn she's strong. Mr. Belyakov was heaving a sigh with a smile, and that was his way of laughing out loud.

"Stop talking nonsense, little girl." Sarah whispered. "His father's right there! I'm so embarrassed."

We both looked at our boss as he set down his cup of coffee on the table. "No need to be embarrassed. I'm already approving Dane dating you."

Mr. Belyakov laughed, seriously. He laughed and that was the first time. I ended up laughing too pero naging kamatis na ang mukha ni Sarah.

"Oh my gosh, no. This is not happening. You guys are so mean." Sabi ni Sarah, but despite her saying that, she was smiling and couldn't stop laughing a little bit too.

"What's with all the noise so early in the morning?" A sleepy Russian accent asked this time as he clumsily walked his way to the dining table and sat on his chair.
