I need to find my brother. I would call him but I'm way too tired and lazy. He's gonna freak when he finds out I bailed out this guy I don't know. And I'm now walking alone with him at night. Well it's not even night anymore, it's really early morning.

I finally see the lights from the diner sign up ahead and I'm flooded with relief by the fact that we have actually been walking towards a destination.

"There it is" i state as it becomes clear in our view.

"There what is? Have u been here before?" He asks as we approach the deserted parking area.

"Yeah" I breathe and open the familiar door signaling a bell to ring.

"Hey! Back so soon?" My old waitress chirps as she walks over to us. I'm glad to see a friendly face to brighten this confusing and eventful evening.
She leads us over to one of the many empty booths and we sit across from each other as she places 2 menus on the table. She then tells us that she will check on us in a few minutes and returns to the kitchen area.

"So you were here recently" louis states questionably.

"Yeah I was kind of in need of coffee before I bailed you out"

"So you were drunk?" he laughs and adds, "no judgement, I was too". I didn't think he would judge me if I told him I was drunk before but I also didn't think he would catch on as to why I needed coffee. There's a lot I don't know about this dude. "Why were you bailing out your brother anyways? Rob a bank? Arson? Murder?"

Is he serious? "No. No. And I'm pretty sure I couldn't have bailed him out if he killed someone." And I was beginning to think he was smart.

"Whatever. And that still didn't answer my question." Man he's persistent. I'm annoyed and I'm certainly not telling him anything.

"That's none of your business now is it"

"I've changed my mind. Im not sure if I like all this sass after all." If he wasn't so hot I'd leave his cheeky ass stranded here.

"Well no ones forcing you to hang out with me" I retort.

"I guess but I don't have a phone to call anyone and this has been entertaining enough so far." Glad he's enjoying himself.

The waitress finally comes back over but I feel like she left us alone for so long on purpose. "Ok what can I get the two of you?" she asks cheerfully as she pulls out a notepad and pen.

"Just another coffee for me" I tell her.

"Can I get a hamburger with chips and a milkshake" Louis requests.

"Sure but we actually don't have any chips" she tells him and he frowns.

"He means fries" I share with them since I'm the only one thinking about the fact that he's British and we're not.
She laughs scribbles it down and then flashes a flirtatious smile towards him. He smiles back but looks uncomfortable probably because she's at least 10 years older than him. And he most likely has a girlfriend. I mean I can't imagine him being single but then again he doesn't seem like a commitment guy but I barely know him so I could be wrong. Only time will tell. Who am I kidding? I'm never going to see him again after today so who cares.

"You know you space out a lot" I hear bringing me out of my thoughts. I look forward to louis who seems to be waiting for a response.

"Yeah I guess I just have a lot on my mind" I say which isn't enough information for him apparently.

"Like what?" He questions.

"I don't know. Why do you care?"

"Just trying to figure you out" he huffs and looks out the large diner window. Him looking genuinely curious and then let down is enough for me to cave.

"Fine. You can ask me 3 questions", and with that a huge grin spreads across his face, "and no more than 3" I add and he rolls his eyes playfully.

"Ok...what did your brother do to get into jail"

"Any 3 questions about me specifically" he sighs looking up in thought "and nothing too personal" I add.

"Fine. What's your favorite color?"

"Silver I guess"

"Why?"

"I'm not sure I just think it's a unique color"

"Fair enough" he says.

"Last question" I tell him.

"No no no that was only 1"

"Nope that was 2. You asked what my favorite color was AND why" I say amused by his annoyance.

"Your quite annoying you know that don't you"

"Why thank you. I try my best at annoying criminals on a daily basis I'm glad someone finally noticed."

He chuckles but adds "I'm not a criminal"

"It's not like I just bailed you out of jail or anything" I retort.

"Fair but I'm still not a criminal"

"Oh please enlighten me with an explanation" talking to him has actually been pretty enjoyable.

"Well you see its really the police that broke a law" he starts but looks back towards me making sure I'm listening. "They had to go over the speed limit in order to catch me didnt they?" He says quiet pleased with himself, "and it was responsible of me to try to drive home by myself drunk instead of putting others at danger. Am I right?"

At this point Im dying of laughter. He is definitely not serious. He cannot think that what he did wasn't wrong. Maybe he's mentally unstable. Or still drunk.

"What!?" He says as I try to gather myself and stop laughing at him.

"You don't seriously think that justifies anything right? I mean what u did was purely idiotic"

"Yeah I know I just wanted to see if I could convince you that the police were in the wrong" he looks down in defeat but I can see he's fighting a smile.
